GW Unveils 9th Edition 40k FAQ & Erratas For All Factions

new in the faq gwJust as 8th Edition is coming to a close, GW dropped a new 40k 9th Edition FAQ for all factions. Here’s the latest on what you need to know.

On Warhammer Community’s FAQ page, you’ll see that every 40k faction got an update to tie off loose ends before we all step into a new Edition. On top of that, they’ve added a new text color to changes.

Also, keep in mind, we’ll be going over the highlights but if you want to take a look at some of the bigger changes fro your faction, you’ll want to dig into the updates yourself.

GW Unveils New 9th Edition 40k FAQ & Erratas For All Factions

40k faq end of 8thWhat looks to be the final FAQ before we step into 9th Edition is here! Be sure to go into your faction’s FAQ page and read over everything that’s just changed.

faq end of 8th 1Looking at the Imperial Fist sheet, for example, you can see that they’ve added some blue text. Blues will mean “updated content” while their classic magenta will be for errata FAQS.

It looks like the majority of the changes across the board are for the new Combat Attrition mechanic as well as character-targeting capabilities with Look Out Sir!

With all of this now out, this FAQ really seems to have just been final rules tweaking for certain rules and relics currently in 8th Edition to make way for the 9th Edition changes. The fact that they’re doing this BEFORE the big rules overhaul should make things easier for players when they play their first few games. Be sure to jot down some of the major changes for your faction or relics if you use them.

What do you think about these changes?
