The new box set will feature the Dark Eldar versus the Sisters of Battle and if you want to see the whole release, you can check it out here. Whether you’re looking to start either of these armies or just expand your existing collection, these are usually good value for the money. We don’t know the pricing for this just yet, but we at least know how much everything inside should be worth.
Now though, we also know when we’ll actually be able to pre-order this new box. March 20th, so not far away at all! Anyways… Let’s check out the value!
New Piety & Pain 40k Box Value & Release Date
The box contains a total of 24 minis (and 2 Cherubs- never forget the Emperor’s helpers!), with a vehicle and character for both sides. Similar boxes went for around $170, so we could easily see this priced the same.
Let’s start with the Dark Eldar value then go to the Sisters.
Dark Eldar:
- 10 Wyches $36
- 5 Scourges $34
- Venom $36Â
- Lelith Hespirex $40 (Based on Drazhar)
Sisters of Battle:
- Retributor Squad $55
- Palantine $35 (Based on other Sisters Characters)
- Immolator $75
Total MSRP:Â $311
The Shadow and Pain Box along with the Prophecy of the Wolf box sets ran for $170, so if this stays around the same price (hopefully less since this has less dollar value in it) the value would be right around $130. If you split this box with someone you’ll be paying something like $85 each and getting about $70 in value. Not bad if you need all the minis!

Also, don’t miss out on the March 20th pre-order because these could go fast… Since this isn’t too far off, GW has also released some rules for the minis inside, let’s check it out!
Piety & Pain Rule Previews

She’s also got a Plasma pistol and Power sword, so she should be able to hit decently hard on her own at the end of the day as well.
Lelith Rules

As it stands, she does look pretty fragile (but we’re assuming she’ll keep the same invuln), so you may need to protect her, or perhaps she can hide/deep strike in to assassinate targets…

Now knowing she gets a minimum of 7 attacks, that’s a whopping 14 attacks unbuffed in fighting from a single body, which is bonkers, just not high damage. So, she’ll be amazing at trimming hordes, but not so hot against high-wound minis. She will without a doubt delete units if she is allowed to get into melee- especially with a strength or bonus to wound buff.
What do you think about the value of Piety & Pain? Will you be grabbing one?
