More Mcfarlane 40k Action Figures are here- now you can pre-order the artist-proof Orks and a painted Raven Guard!
These are actually available for pre-order over at Gamestop. The post says they will only be available for two days, October 15th- October 16th, so if you do want either of them, don’t wait around. They do say they will eventually be for sale on GW’s website but didn’t say quite when yet.
Warhammer Community unveiled which McFarlane 40k action figures you can get for the next two days. We’ll first take a look at the new figures you can grab, then check out some of the figures you can actually get today.
McFarlane Orks & Raven Guard 40k Action Figures Hit Pre-order
The expected date on these is just before Christmas, so you can have something to do over the holidays! Oh, and they are stupid cheap price-wise when compared to a plastic character kit from GW.
Warhammer 40000 Orks Big Mek Megafig AP Variant: $39.99
Presented in grey plastic, you’re free to colour this ded ’ard lad with any colours you want, from a brutal black and checkerboard Goff, to a lucky yellow Bad Moon.
The Artist’s Proofs are really cool because you can paint them up however you want. While most of the paint jobs on these aren’t too bad, the Orks left a little to be desired in our opinion. So, the APs are a really great alternative. Here are the specs on this one:

Just like the tabletop version of these up-close-and-personal warriors, he also sports a pauldron-mounted tilting plate and an Indomitus Crusade emblem on his left gauntlet.
It’s nice to see them branching out into different chapters. Looks like McFarlane understands there are more chapters than just the Ultramarines! Again, they said these are only on pre-order for two days. Let’s look at some specs on this one:

Space Marines Primaris Hellblaster Proof:
The nice thing about the proofs is you can paint them up to match your favorite chapter! While they aren’t as posable as the Bandai ones, they are way cheaper. Let’s look at the features:

Hellblaster Painted:
If you don’t feel like painting yours, this is a perfect choice. The paint jobs aren’t the best, but they are actually fairly well done.
Adepta Sororitas Battle Sister Action Figure:
The paint job on the painted minis is pretty decent but nothing crazy. But if you just want a fun figure without much work, these are great. Here are the features on this one:

Adepta Sororitas Battle Sister Artist Proof Action Figure:
You can see how much detail they put into these on the proofs. This would be a super fun project to showcase your painting skills! Here are the features of this one:

Blood Angels Primaris Lieutenant:
The Primaris Lieutenant’s armour is bedecked in the more ostentatious manner favoured by Blood Angels officers, such as his peer, Tolmeron.
This was only available at Walmart in North America, but there are some listed from Amazon now for a premium of course.
Necron Flayed One Action Figure:
If you just bought some of the new Flayed Ones, why not get the big boy to go with them? Obviously, you’ll roll much better.

It’s cool they are not only painting the marines differently. Like most of the paint jobs, it’s decent, but nothing too crazy, so if you want to make your own, you can grab the proof below.

Ultramarines Reiver With Bolt Carbine
If the stealth and terror tactics of the Primaris Vanguard are your thing, then this Ultramarines Reiver is the perfect action figure to add to your collection. His backpack is outfitted with a grav-chute, so even if you accidentally knock him from your shelf, he’s all but guaranteed to land safely (though be careful – in the grim darkness of the far future, anything can happen).

Space Marines Reiver With Grapnel Launcher – Artist’s Proof
If you’d rather paint your own Reiver action figure, the Artist’s Proof is the ideal choice. What’s more, in place of the Ultramarines Reiver’s bolt carbine and a grav-chute, this version is equipped with alternative wargear in the form of a grapnel launcher, offering added variety should you get them both.
It’s interesting they gave this one a different weapon choice for the AP. These are really fun to paint up and you can make it whatever chapter you want. Order yours here at this link.
Ork Meganob With Shoota
Da Orks iz ’ere! The first of four greenskin action figures from McFarlane Toys sees an Ork Meganob armed with a kustom shoota and power klaw and clad in mega armour enter the fray. You also can kit out his armour rig with an optional backpack with attached banner pole, and give him the metal jaw that no self-respecting Nob would be seen without.
This is the first Ork we’ve seen from them and it’s pretty cool, but the paint job does leave a little to be desired. You can always fix it up if you want but having some giant Orks hanging around would be so much fun! Order yours here at this link.
Ork Meganob With Buzzsaw
Of course, if you want your Meganob action figure to look even more killy (if such a thing is even possible), you’ll want it to be dual-wielding killsaws for some good ol’ fashioned slicing and dicing.

Ork Big Mek
The third Ork action figure enables you to match the three-model Meganobz set with a Big Mek clad in mega armour. He’s tooled up with all the gubbinz you could want, including a kombi-weapon with skorcha, a power klaw, and even a backpack-mounted kustom force field generator.

Tyranid Genestealer

Ymgarl Genestealer – Artist’s Proof
If you’re feeling especially outlandish, the Artist’s Proof version represents one of the infamous Ymgarl Genestealers, complete with the tell-tale combination of scything talons and feeder tendrils. As a blank canvas, you can paint your action figure in the colours of your Hive Fleet of choice.
