Games Workshop New Releases Roadmap Heading Into September
The Blacktalons Come to Life in the Age of Sigmar With New Models!
These heroes were immortalised in the Warhammer+ show Blacktalon – and soon you will be able to dispatch them on perilous missions of your own devising with cool new models.
Neave Blacktalon is the leader, a force of nature who wields her Whirlwind axes and can ride the winds aetheric at great speed. Her long campaigns in Aqshy and Ghyran have made this Knight-Zephyros a legend, though the toll of reforging has reduced her to little more than a living weapon.
All the models are really cool, and if you play Stormcast or love the animation, then this will be an easy pickup.
Seraphon Vanguard Box
At the forefront of this tide of teeth is a mighty Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur. These savage and belligerent generals are covered with the scars of battles past, and have managed to bend a predatory Carnosaur to their will. You can also build him as a Saurus Scar-Veteran, or as a Skink Oracle on Troglodon, which can launch corrosive spittle at their foes. With their sturdy scales and robust celestite shields, Saurus Warriors are a living anvil who hold the line and break enemy charges. In return they lash out with clubs, spears, and their own ferocious jaws, and no, they don’t care if their target is a putrescent servant of Nurgle or a rock-skinned Troggoth.
The final piece of the Vanguard is a unit of hulking Kroxigor. These lumbering brutes are monstrously striking, wielding weapons that can easily crush every bone in an Orruk’s body. They can alternatively be built as Kroxigor Warspawned, marked for war by the god Sotek.
New Cities of Sigmar Models & Miniatures
Pontifex Zenestra is the Matriarch of the Great Wheel, one of the many Cults Unberogen who worship aspects of the God-King Sigmar. Allegedly a great-grandmother at the dawn of the Age of Sigmar, she brooks no questions about the accompanying skeleton whose scars mirror her own.
Freeguild Command Corps
Some very interesting minis are included in this command set, and if you want some wild doom and gloom in your army, these will be great.
Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal
Some Marshals prefer to command their armies from atop mighty steeds, charging into battle alongside the Freeguild Cavaliers, smashing through enemy ranks before wheeling around to strike again.
Every fantasy army needs a cool hero on a horse, and here you go!
New Battletome
Every single unit will be featured in Battletome: Cities of Sigmar, a 160-page book with a huge background section covering every aspect of the Cities and how they wage war. The first place to get this book – and the first selection of miniatures – is in the Cities of Sigmar Army Set, coming soon.
The Wildercorps Hunters Bring Out the Dogs For the Cities of Sigmar!
The Wildercorps Hunters are expert trackers, with an intimate knowledge of the rougher parts of the Mortal Realms. Often recruited from the Reclaimed – those peoples who survived for generations under the cruel lash of Chaos, while Azyr’s doors were closed – they’ve endured sickness, hunger, and inclement weather to hone their skills to a keen knife’s edge.
These new Wildercorps Hunters miniatures are really cool, with a ton of detail, and of course, dogs!
Age of Sigmar: Cities of Sigmar Launch Army Box
This box features the robust core of a Castelite formation, ready to unleash Sigmar’s wrath on any who would stand in the way of the Dawnbringer Crusades.
With 28 minis, these seem to be the first way and a near-perfect starting point to being a Cities of Sigmar army!
The Fuses are Lit; New Freeguild Fusiliers Pack a Powdered Punch!
These thundering reports cut down charging Orruks by the dozen – handy, considering their gear leaves them little melee defence. Against daemons, gheists, and other ungodly abominations, they use shot inscribed with sigils or blessed by lifewater. They fly their banner high, as much a memento mori as a rallying standard, reminding themselves that death is just one missed shot away.
These walking mini-battlements look sick! Packing heavy firepower behind moving fortifications will surely strike fear into any Orruk that shows its face on the battlefield.
GW Reveals New Cities of Sigmar Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk!
GW has done a few Master Blaster-style minis before, but this one is really cool! You get a sniper and an Ogor with a massive shield to protect the gunner and hold your flank down. If you were hoping GW would take the line in a bit of a wild direction, they seem to have you covered!
Age of Sigmar Gets New Dawnbringers Book Series & 2023 Roadmap
Faced with this primal whirlwind, the Dawnbringer Crusades sally out to reconquer lands lost to Chaos, and stake their claim in Sigmar’s name. In Hammerhal, a Dawnbringer Crusade of staggering vision prepares to leave the two great gates of the Twin-Tailed City, kicking off a new campaign series for Warhammer Age of Sigmar – Dawnbringers.
Dawnbringers Book I: Harbingers kicks off the series, which will offer support for all four Grand Alliances. It introduces the colossal Twin-Tailed Crusade, a multi-pronged expedition that’s preparing to depart across Aqshy and Ghyran at once. This campaign series will follow both crusades – and their respective fates – alongside new background information and rules for your Warhammer Age of Sigmar games.
Harbingers takes its name from the four heralds of provenance who rise to prominence in the early days of the Twin-Tailed Crusade, each leading a warband of devoted followers.
With a huge narrative expansion, this looks and sounds like it will essentially be the AoS take on the recent 40k book set Arks of Omen, which seemed to be an overall success. We’ve seen the first book, but there are more to come.
Phlugoth’s Shudderhood Individual Release
From a pus-coloured haze ride the Harbingers of Decay, envoys of entropy mounted on cadaverous steeds, hooves tapping out a terminal tattoo.
Jerrion’s Delegation Individual Release
The Marrowscroll Heralds are inspiring warrior-envoys, draped in fine robes and bearing elegantly-worded missives. At least, that’s how they appear to the deluded eyes of the gristle-chewing ghoul peasants that make up the Flesh-eater Courts.
This is shaping up to be a good year for fans of the deranged cannibals on the tabletop!
Braggit’s Bottle-snatchaz Individual Release
Most grots are known for being garrulous gitz – especially when there’s trouble to talk their way out of – but the Rabble-Rowzas are especially effusive, and go to war armed with the gift of the gab.
A motivational grot/git is not something you see or hear about every day, but now that we’ve seen it, we can’t un-see it.
Grimhold Exile Individual Release
A Grimhold Exile is a rare sight even among the bloody-minded and death-defiant Fyreslayers – the sole survivor of a fallen magmahold, carrying with them the traditions and vengeful spirit of their lost home.
Nothing quite beats an angry dwarf, and this new character has plenty of reason to be upset!
Ironjawz Maw-Grunta Individual Release
The mighty Maw-grunta is a big pig like no other. Dwarfing the Gore-gruntas that the Ironjawz love for their orruk-bearing strength and blind porcine fury, these hulking beasts are a true force of nature. A single Maw-grunta can smash through massed infantry like a like a boar in a china shop, paving the way for a brutal Ardboys charge.
Big Pig is right! This is a giant boar and is sure to have devastating charges to demolish enemy lines.
New Age of Sigmar Roadmap For The Rest of 2023
Harbingers is the first book of a series. We’ve checked with the auguries, who have provided a roadmap of what the future holds for the Age of Sigmar.
With the massive build-up of Cities of Sigmar, it will finally release in Autumn! The Dawnbringers series looks to also wrap up by the end of this year with a book on each Grand Alliance.
Plus, the Cities of Sigmar are also finally getting their initial release.
Monsta-Killaz Kruleboyz Warcry Warband
A hoary, trophy-laden Beastnob leads each Monsta-killa band, bringing years of experience, a bag of tricks, and a terrible trident. These orruks take pride in trapping their quarry alive – but know better than to take on Ghur’s most ornery alpha predators as fully-grown adults. Instead, they plot to snatch their eggs and grab their young, stealing away with more easily-tamed offspring.
3 New 10th Edition Warhammer 40k Combat Patrols SPOTTED!
GW dropped all the rules for the new Combat Patrol format, and in that, they showed what looks to be new Tyranids, Necrons, and Space Marines box sets! While they haven’t talked about when they will come out, we know what the contents will be!
Tyranids Norn Emissary & Assimilator
The Norn Emissary is perhaps the ultimate synapse creature, bigger and nastier than even a Hive Tyrant. They are evolved for the singular purpose of preying on gifted commanders or abducting knowledgeable prey from heavily defended strongholds.
Before battle, the Norn Queen imbues this goliath with the distilled knowledge it needs to succeed in its mission, which it prosecutes with a combination of brute strength and incredible psionic power, backed up by a frankly unnatural degree of agility for a creature of its size.
Equal parts deadly to supportive, the psychic power of the Emissary is sure to run large with its size, and clear emphasis on the model’s design.
Meet the New Biovore & Pyrovore Models
Biovores are essentially sentient mortar batteries, each carrying a symbiotic launcher-organ swollen with a clutch of Spore Mines. These volatile offspring are fired across the battlefield in violent muscle spasms – truly, the miracle of birth.
On the other side, Pyrovores are the same model, but instead of longer-range shots, it aims for a scorched earth approach making quick work of chaff!
Tyranids Introduce 3 Game-Changing Lictor Variants for 10th Edition 40k
Larger than the Von Ryan’s Leapers, Lictors have been a mainstay of the Tyranid forces since their introduction into Warhammer 40,000. They are agile hunters with chameleonic skin, and two huge crescent talons attached to powerful arms that can effortlessly split a Space Marine in two, no problem.
With lore as cool as slurping up brain juice, a new model was certainly in order, and it looks great. In-game, it is said to have precision strike, re-rolls, and a Command Point gaining ability if you kill a character!
GW Reveals New Termagants & Hormagaunts For Tyranids
Termagants are the closest thing the Tyranids have to a line trooper, though not much in the hive fleet maps accurately onto the military structure of the rest of the armies in the 41t Millennium.
While they may be chaff, a giant swarm of 40 will still do tons of damage, crashing into enemy lines. With a new kit and huge numbers, the impact of this update will be seen a lot.
They fight in great hordes armed with symbiotic bio-weapons, each a horrendous amalgam of organic function and living weapon. The full Termagant kit includes a wide range of weapons – fleshborerers, spinefists, devourers, shardlaunchers, stranglewebs, and spike rifles. Now that’s a wargear selection we haven’t seen for many, many years.
The introduction of new special weapons makes the Termagants even better than before, will more flexibility! Not to mention some awesome new models with dope weapons.
New Tyranids Genestealers Miniatures for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k
These creatures range out in advance of the Tyranid hive fleet, inhabiting great Space Hulks that drift through space, which will inevitably attract the attention of greedy salvagers over time. They secrete themselves on the scrap haulers and exploratory vessels that return to populated worlds, where they bed in undercover and spread their malign influence.
Combat Arena: Lair of the Beast
Descend into the lair of a deadly alien Ambull for glory, revenge, or profit in Combat Arena: Lair of the Beast – an action-packed game for two to four players featuring an eclectic collection of Warhammer miniatures. Pick from one of 10 diverse characters – from Space Marine Sergeant Vennaro to the oddly self-aware ‘robot’ UR-025 – each with their own unique skills and talents, to battle both the Ambull and each other to emerge victorious.
This comes with some really cool miniatures, and if it’s priced similarly to Space Marine, this could be a pretty decent deal.
New Deathleaper skulks into 10th Edition Warhammer 40k!
Deathleaper’s new miniature is quite possibly the most stylish Tyranid ever to creep from the spawning pools. We’re not quite sure why the Hive Mind gave it a dashing biological tailcoat – perhaps a Magos Biologis can supply some helpful technobabble about thermal regulation or sonic muffling – but we’re not complaining. And if we were, we certainly wouldn’t do so to its face.
The Deathleaper comes into 10th edition as an Epic Hero, meaning that you’ll only be able to bring one of the bad boys to help lead your swarm to victory.
The 47 New Tyranids Miniatures for 10th Edition: (Individual Releases)
Games Workshop unveiled 47 insane new Tyranids miniatures from inside the Leviathan Starter Box Set for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k!
These Are The 25 New Space Marines Miniatures For 10th Edition: (Individual Releases)
Don’t miss the 25 new Space Marines models for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k inside the Leviathan Starter Box Set!
Space Marines Primaris Desolation Squad: (Individual Release)
While these new Desolation Space Marines aren’t a super surprise, it’s still nice to see the actual miniatures revealed! We’ve seen rules rumors, a rumor engine, and a shrouded pic of these for a long time now… Read More Here!
Space Marines Primaris Brutalis Dreadnought: (Individual Release)
They said this would be a successor to the Furioso Dreadnought, but every chapter can take them. Read More Here!
New Space Marine Primaris Lieutenant: (Individual Release)
We were nervous at first, but GW came through and revealed another Space Marines Lieutenant kit! They said this has a ton of options and will have many weapon load-outs. Read More Here!
Sons of Horus Weapon Upgrades Pack
This pack contains a selection of left- and right-handed Umbra-pattern bolters – a favourite of the XVI Legion – as well as six fearsome Banestrike bolters loaded with deadly armour-piercing rounds. This mysterious ammunition was a gift to the Sons of Horus from the Alpha Legion, appearing to be designed solely for killing other Space Marines, and it is predominantly carried by Legion veterans.
The Warmaster’s elite are also known for their wicked Carsoran power axes, with the elegant hooked blades a common sight among commanders and Consuls. These weapons are crafted from an ancient STC template found deep beneath the hives of Cthonia, and alongside the three you get in this set – one of which is designed to be held by Terminator hands – but also a huge two-handed Carsoran power tabar.
New Assault Marines Model Teaser & 2023 Horus Heresy Roadmap
The final portion of Horus Heresy news from WHC is a little further into the future…
But one thing is missing – the mechanical whirr of a chainsword. That all changes later this year, when the plastic Space Marine Assault Squad soars in. They’re still a ways off, but Warhammer Community’s resident Vanus Infocyte managed to infiltrate the Design Studio’s mainframe and escape with these stunning renders.
Renders are an early point in model manufacturing, so these models might still be a bit far off into the future… Still, though, new plastic Assault Marines in plastic is exciting!
Speaking of the future, we got a roadmap and we can see that the Assault Squad is near the end of this year! Plus the Plastic Lancer is right around the corner in Summer.
That’s not all that’s coming soon for the Legiones Astartes – here’s another glimpse from the battlefields of the 31st Millennium…
This image was also teased with a Deredeo Dread in the back; that might just be the Autumn Dreadnought release hopefully in plastic!
In the stream, we got a hint at what the Mystery Faction in Winter might be… Our first guesses were some form of Guard thanks to the emphasis on “all of mankind” and the distinction of non-Space Marines, but there are plenty of possibilities!
A dedicated Daemon book might even come since they already have a few Horus Heresy-era models.
The Loyalist Champion Coming Soon to Horus Heresy!
The finest blades of each Legion are often elevated to the level of Champions, receiving the finest armour available, and a very nice weapon to show off to all their battle brothers. These Champions of the Legion are chosen for their martial prowess, and must uphold the honour of their Chapter and Company in battle. They are equipped with their Legion’s finest weapons and armour and put them to use for one simple task – seeking out the foe’s mightiest warriors, and slaying them in glorious duels.
The model looks so dope, and the blade looks thirsty for some traitors! If you want to achieve a place in the history books, be sure to charge him into the enemy’s biggest, baddest models!
Knight Acheron & Castigator Transform Into Multi-Part Plastic Kits
Both the Castigator and Acheron feature a large ammo feed – or fuel tube – that trails from their primary ranged weapon to the supply on their back. This component has been designed to be fully articulated when built, meaning you can pose your Cerastus-class Knights without worrying about matching up two fixed connection points.
Look for these to arrive after the Knight Lancer model for less than the cost of their Forge World counterparts!
Forge World Arvus Lighter Returns to Horus Heresy
The Arvus Lighter is back, and when the quagmire gets too thick for even tanks to crawl through, there’s nothing else you’ll want at your side. This resin legend of the Horus Heresy era will be returning to the Forge World webstore soon, retooled and ready for flight after a long hiatus.
Weapons? You don’t need weapons where you’re going – the Arvus Lighter is a loyal beast of burden, not some jumped-up glory-chasing gunship. The strength of an army is borne on the back of its logistics, and nothing ferries men and materiel around a busy battlefield quite like this purpose-built transport craft.
There is something endearing about this model; it’s boxy, lightly armed, and small for a flyer. But this holds a special place in a lot of people’s hearts.
Horus Heresy Legions Imperialis
Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis is an all-new game set at the time of the Horus Heresy. While your standard 3,000-point battle of the larger-scale Age of Darkness constitutes a slice of a larger engagement, Legions Imperialis is that battle in full, with dozens of tanks and hundreds of infantry striving for supremacy and advancing to battle between the legs of Knights and Titans. It’s battle on a new scale.
The game deploys in August, with a huge Core Set containing a massive collection of exquisite epic scale miniatures, alongside a rulebook, dice, tokens templates, and measuring sticks.
The launch box was supposed to arrive in August of 2023 but has been delayed, and we haven’t heard a solid release date since then.
The Solar Auxilia Support Box Brings Epic Firepower to Legions Imperialis!
Though an Auxiliary may lack the sheer superhuman punch of a Space Marine, their strict training regimen and fine armaments make them a threat on any battlefield – and what’s more, they number in the hundreds of thousands. They also bring lots and lots (and lots) of big guns and tanks, worthy of representation in the mass battles of Legions Imperialis.
When you’re facing down such giant vehicles of war, you need all the fire support you can get! This box brings it in spades with 28 minis.
GW Reveals New Tiny Terrain For Legions Imperialis
Let’s start with the new. The Civitas Imperialis City Road Tiles are fully sculpted, finely detailed plastic tiles that will transform a bare table into an immersive urban environment. These 12×12″ squares fit together neatly to build Legions Imperialis battlefields for any game size.
Each pack contains two straight roads, two T-junctions, and two crossroads, giving you plenty of different ways to arrange diverse road layouts. Combined with your other urban terrain, you can set up whole cities packed with deadly intersections, exposed highways, and very literal dead-end turns.
Legiones Astartes Support Box Brings Epic Firepower to Legions Imperialis!
This box is packed with heavy firepower. Leviathan Dreadnoughts are some of the toughest units to crack below Knight-scale, and are more than capable of messing up heavy tanks with their mix of weaponry. They’re joined by Deredeo Dreadnoughts, which are absolutely stacked with devastating long-range armaments.
If you need all the firepower, this is going to be a fun pickup. It’s also worth noting they said everything inside the box will be plastic. Which is good for this box but could mean lots of offerings will be resin.
Necromunda seems out of gas at the moment. If we missed something, please leave us a comment or email us!
Ivan Deathshroud
Raised from his most recent death by a necromantic coach looking for more offensive punch in his lineup, Ivan Deathshroud felt nothing but furious contempt for the war-less world he found himself in. It wasn’t until he watched his first Blood Bowl game that the undead warrior found a new calling, taking to the gridiron with the murderous glee of a born Blitzer.
The Block, Juggernaut, and Regeneration skills make him a tough nut to crack on offence or defence, and his special Dwarfen Scourge ability helps him bash right through an opponent’s armour once per game. As the name suggests, it gets even better against Dwarfs – handy for buckling their particularly thick protectives.
Gore the Gridiron
Nobody quite knows where Grashnak came from – stories about his early career flow like spilled ale through many a sporting tavern – but his trail through the Blood Bowl circuit has been one of broken bones, gored sternums, and crowd-pleasing bloodshed. His shockingly violent performance in his rookie year earned him back-to-back Best Newcomer and Most Vicious Player awards, and he’s since racked up a body count eclipsed only by the legendary Morg ‘n’ Thorg.
The Great Black Bull is in his element charging across the pitch to deliver his signature twin-horned Blitz, leaving unfortunate players Gored by the Bull. This special rule helps him steamroll most muscly opponents, and even gives him a leg up against equally massive rivals. Someone is getting flattened when Grashnak gets up to speed.
Blood Bowl Star Player Kiroth Krakeneye
Sailors love their tall tales, and none more so than the swashbuckling commodore of the Elven circuit known as Kiroth Krakeneye. As commander of the Black Ark Fateful Voyage, Kiroth has taken his Blood Bowl talents to the four corners of the world, where the stories of his supposed exploits have made him a household name among fans.
In one particularly outlandish tale – that he himself insists is true – the crew of the Fateful Voyage wrapped their vessel in enchantments and dove below the waves to play a friendly game against the mythical Southstorm Squids. Though the game ended in tragedy when the enchantments wore off and the entire team was crushed beneath the waves, Krakeneye alleges the Squids saved him personally and gave him his eye-catching headwear as a consolation prize.
It’s this tentacular helmet that gives Kiroth his name, for the seemingly inert face comes alive during matches to writhe and lash out in a disturbing manner. So downright weird is the display that few players want to spend more than a moment around him, and if any are brave enough to look right at the man, they’re wont to get an eyeful of Black Ink for their trouble.
New Space Marine Heroes Blind Boxes
A new set of Space Marine Heroes is unique and geared towards Kill Team this time.
There’s a brand new set of Warhammer Heroes coming later this year, with all the character-packed models you’ll need to mix-and-match a full kill team of Space Marines, each with their own inimitable style.
This time around, the complete set will create a usable Kill Team!
Coming to stores later this year, these seven miniatures come together to form Strike Force Justian.
Unlike their battle-brothers who operate in single-armour formations, this strike force combines a Heavy Intercessor in Gravis armour, a Phobos-clad Eliminator, and Tacticus-armoured Intercessors of the ranged and assault variety – alongside the first ever Captain to grace this edition of Kill Team.
As per usual, though, you’ll be getting random miniatures in the boxes. So depending on the price, it may be worth watching the secondary market to buy specific ones to finish your collection.
More New Kill Team: Plastic Eldar Striking Scorpions or Exodites
Judging by the (Predator Movie Monster-like) noise at the end and the Jungle-like depiction, this could be the long-awaited introduction of new plastic Striking Scorpions or even Exodite Eldar models.
Either way, this is a preview for the next edition of Kill Team this fall, and it will definitely feature Aeldari.
Adeptus Titanicus Dire Wolf Scout Titans Get a Plastic Kit!
This week, the Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titan skulks into Legions Imperialis with an impressive new plastic miniature.
Previously available in resin, this hound has a bite that’s far worse than its bark, mounting a carapace weapon of a class usually reserved for larger Titans. In games of Adeptus Titanicus, we know that it loves to hide in dense terrain to ambush hulking Reavers and Warlords, and it’s no less deadly in Legions Imperialis – especially when it has columns of tiny tanks to chew on.
Getting a plastic kit makes magnetizing and building easier, so we’re not complaining! Plus, these models now will have more options which is awesome. Maybe the biggest change is they are using thinner bases, which lines up with the Epic Scale, so expect all new AT models to have these types of bases if we see more of them (re) released going forward.
New Old World Bretonian Battle Standard Bearer
The Battle Standard Bearer is the fulcrum of any Bretonnian army, his resplendent banner a symbol of this chivalrous realm.
This resin miniature is covered in details befitting his status as the herald of a glorious army of knights ready to make thunderous charges in the name of their liege.
First New Models Revealed for Warhammer Old World
From the sculptor:
“Getting to work on a Bretonnian was so exciting!” adds Alastair, who created the Paladin. “I collected a small Bretonnian force previously for Warhammer Fantasy Battle, so being able to add to a range that I used to play with all those years ago was awesome. I really enjoyed being able to search through older source material for inspiration, there is so much rich design language in the old army books that really inspired the design of this miniature. In my mind, Bretonnian Knights are stoic warriors, and perhaps just a little pompous, so I wanted to make sure that those attitudes came across in the miniature by having him stand heroically over his beheaded opponent – an Orc who I am sure he bested in single combat with little trouble!”
GW Confirms Old World Coming Soon & New Square Base Size
As you can see, our painted models are on square bases – but these are slightly bigger than they were back in the days of Warhammer Fantasy Battle. The majority of models in Warhammer: The Old World will indeed sit on bigger bases – there are a few reasons for this.
Over the decades, our models have become larger and more dynamic, which means that many units have become difficult to arrange into ranks and files. Players must be able to line their models up without complex planning about which spear has to go where in order to use them in-game. On top of that, we didn’t like that the back ranks were hidden and hard to see.
So now, all 20mm bases have been replaced with 25mm bases. Most (but not all) 25mm and 25×50 bases have been replaced with new-sized bases.
Well, this means if you have a ton of models still, you will most likely have to rebase a lot of them. We heard a long time ago, in 2019, that square bases were coming back, but this is really the first confirmation from GW about the actual size.
This makes sense as the models have become more dynamic, but you will have to rebase some older models. This leads to the next question, are the models actually getting bigger?
Games Workshop Announces New 2023 Event-Exclusive Miniatures!
From the 41st Millennium comes The Commissar’s Duty. This vignette depicts an absolutely iconic scene – an Astra Militarum Commissar with his sword planted in the battlefield rubble, standing tall as he delivers the Emperor’s Justice. Is he aiming at a foe, or at a Guardsman who needs to be made into an example?
He’s got a full tactical rock this time that he can stand on! Seriously though, this is a pretty cool model, and while it’s a little static, it should be striking on the battlefield.
Out of the Mortal Realms charges Tolgar Split-Eye, a frenzied Darkoath warrior sporting a natty eye-patch and swinging two huge axes. He also comes with an alternative head for building a nameless Darkoath Chieftain, which trades flowing locks for a fine beard.
This guy is a lot more dynamic and with those giant axes, should be a good addition to your forces.
Exclusive Miniatures For Warhammer Stores 2023
It’s nice to see Leagues of Votann getting an exclusive mini! They even say he will have the special Legends rules, which is somewhat rare. Obviously, you can just play him as a Kahl, but it will be nice to have a little datasheet when you buy him.
They don’t say he’ll have special rules, but that’s not the end of the world. As we said, you’ll have to go to the store during their anniversary to score these minis. We’re sure they will be on the secondary market at some point, but they will probably be more expensive.
