Basically, it’s just an excuse to play with all of Rob’s Titans with the beautiful Warlord painted by Dark Bunny Creatives
The Adeptus Titanicus rules are out and fantastic… so let’s take it up a notch (ok, a ton) and play will full-scale titans!
Adeptus Titanicus But Bigger: 40k Scale Warlord Vs. Phantom
Kinder will be running a Warlord Titan alongside a Warhound Titan, Reaver Titan, and a banner of three Knights. Austin is running Eldar to stand in as the other Titans: a banner of three Wraithknights, two Revenant Titans, and the Phantom. Each army seeks to slaughter the other as best as possible.
Strategy Phase
Kinder won the roll to go first, starting the strategy phase by setting up orders, setting off First Fire on the Warlord, Reaver, and Warhound. The banner of Knights succeeds in getting a free movement. Austin gets First Fire for the Warlord.
Movement Phase
Austin is able to take three points off the Warhound Titan, taking down the void shield. Kinder takes down the void shields on the other Warhound. Kinder disables the Warhound’s Vulcan Mega-bolter.
Damage Control Phase
In damage control, you get rolls based on how many Servitors each Titan has. For Kinder’s void shields, he has two chances to re-raise void shields, which he gets one back. Austin gets one success, regaining a void shield point as well.
Combat Phase
Kinder is able to take down the void shield once more with the missiles and fires the Volcano Cannon at the limping Warhound. The first shot scatters, but the second shot hits the body, doing critical damage. Austin fires the other Warhound in his arsenal at Kinder’s Warhound Titan, taking down its void shield. Kinder’s Reaver fires at the banner of Knights, doing three structure points with one weapon and another two structure points with the other. This kills one member of the banner and does one damage to the second.
Austin fires the Warlord Titan, hitting the body and head of the Warhound. The body takes one damage and the head takes a critical hit. The second Volcano Cannon hits the body twice, moving the body into the red. The missiles also hit, causing catastrophic damage, causing the Warhound to rotate and fire everything at the banner of knights.
The first turn is complete and things are getting very interesting. Be sure to check out the video below to find out more about what happens, as well as to hear more walkthroughs on each phase of the game!
