Primarch Fulgrim & Lion El’Jonson Next For 40k?

Are Fulgrim & Lion El’Jonson on the way? Two big set of rumors were making the rounds last week on new primarchs for Warhammer 40k. Check out the latest!

Dark Angels are always the topic of questionable loyalties, and in what may be the year of Chaos, Fulgrim rumors have also been a continued thing as well.

If both of these models appeared in 2019 it would quite possibly be one of the most shocking things to happen to Warhammer 40k in recent memory.

REMEMBER: These are just rumors and will be treated like that until we see the final product from GW.

“The Lion” Primarch Rumors Emerge

Lion v Konrad

BoLS’ rumors say:

Lion El’Jonson or The Lion was mentioned coming in a faction starter Box Set as one of the playable sides. But (get ready to sit down Dark Angels fans) the other side may be an Imperium faction.

If that is true, SOMEBODY obviously went traitor. The Dark Angels are already in a bad spot considering what went down in the Horus Heresy.

Assuming these rumors are true, we think including a Primarch in a Box Set is an interesting idea. Most of the Boxed Sets come with a couple of exclusive units that you can only find there for a couple of months. Then they release them as their own unit on the shelf. We saw this with the Armigers and Cryptek out of Forgebane and the Abominant out of Tooth and Claw just to name a few. We could see this with the Primarch. He might be a hot new unit in the box and then a couple of months later hit the shelves in his own box.

Ultimately, we could see more people buy this box for themselves than splitting it. Just so they can get a Primarch AND some Imperium models.

Earlier Slaanesh Rumors

Fulgrim Is Daemon Primarch Fulgrim Next For 40k?

First the Thousand Sons, then Death Guard. Are Fulgrim and the Emperor’s Children up next for a full release cycle in 2019?

We’ve been hearing word on the Emperor’s Children for a while now. Rumor after rumor seems to come and go. Take a look at some of the earlier rumors as well as what was just spotted.

If you’ve been keeping up with some rumors and the lore of 8th edition, you’ll know that a “serpent” has been mentioned a number of times slaughtering Guardsmen in sectors of space.

Fugrim is supposedly 100% in the works. (Fulgrim may have left his pleasure world after all!)

Emperor’s Children Codex Rumors SPOTTED

If Fulgrim comes back, it would only make sense for his Legion to back him up.

There are rumors swirling of the Emperor’s Children getting a codex, in the same vein as Death Guard and Thousand Sons before them. This would be a large full release with all manner of new minis.

According to the rumor, Noise Marines were mentioned along with some kind of Marine/cavalry unit. Fulgrim is supposedly going to be in their Codex as well, further tying these rumors into one another.

Slaanesh in Age of Sigmar

slaanesh 1

After Adepticon 2019, we know that Slaanesh is coming back out to play in AoS. With him, he’s bringing a handful of Daemon models and even a mortal! We still feel like we haven’t seen just everything yet though.

If Slaanesh is getting new Daemon models, it would only make sense for GW to bring the Chaos god of Pleasure back into the picture so that players could use the Daemon models in multiple platforms. (We know that players can still play Daemonettes in AoS even with Slaanesh’s imprisonment, but it would hurt the hype not to free him.)

Latest Slaanesh Rumors

New Chaos Emperor's Children & Black Legion Rumors Spotted

Coming from BoLS, these rumors are telling us that in the realm of 40k, we can expect to see:

  • Lucius the Eternal rework
  • New Noise Marine kits
  • Fulgrim
  • Noise Marine Terminators
  • Fabius Bile rework
  • possibly a Noise Marine cavalry unit (Would these guys just be riding Seekers of Slaanesh)?

So when should we be keeping our eyes peeled for these things? Rumors look to be pointing towards the tail end of this Summer.

If the rumors are true, do you think that the Dark Angels and or the Emperor’s Children would also have release waves and updates to usher in the Lion? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
