No Contrast Needed to Paint Sylvaneth Models Fast

Get ready to learn the ways of the ancient druids by painting this new Sylvaneth miniature. This tutorial will show you how to paint great in no time at all!

Jack of Clubs is bringing you another great painting tutorial, this time on the subject of Sylvaneth speed painting. Bringing in some Warhammer Underworlds love, this new Sylvaneth model will be the basis of this speedy painting tutorial. Included with this Sylvaneth model is a textured base, which we will paint as well.

After a nice black base coat, start off with a pre-shade of white paint. Pre-shading looks fantastic on an organic model like this Sylvaneth Guardian. Some Pro Acryl Mahogany takes our model to the next step.  A thin coat brings out a nice wood texture on his tree spirit body.  Sylvaneth

After the Mahogany, use some Secret Weapon Handle Wood to highlight the brown. We only want to use 2 colors per step to keep up with our speed painting theme. Pre-shading helps keep our colors vibrant with easy highlights. Work faster and use less paint!

Now that we’ve worked up the browns, move on to the greens with Vallejo Heavy Green. As a base coat, Heavy Green paints on super easy and paves the way for more green highlights.

As a final painting step, grab some Bright Warm Grey as a base color for his ghostly spirit body. Add a dry brush of blue to wrap up the spirit colors!
