Black Library Celebration 2020
New exclusive swag is coming in February including two new miniatures for Horus Heresy, Warhammer 40k, (or both)?
The annual in-store celebration of Black Library’s fiction will be returning in February – and there will be so many cool things available on the day. First and foremost are a pair of new Citadel miniatures. Check out this video.
Valerian and Aleya are the stars of Chris Wraight’s Watchers of the Throne series and they tie into the release of the second book at the Celebration, The Regent’s Shadow.
You’ll also be able to pick up a trio of Horus Heresy books, including the third volume in the Siege of Terra series, Gav Thorpe’s The First Wall, David Guymer’s new Primarchs novel Lion El’Jonson: Lord of the First and a Limited Edition version of Horus Rising.
The Primarchs book series has been doing pretty well, as all of the Primarchs are vastly unique. This one is sure to be a good read if you are interested in his lore at all!
Fans of Warhammer Age of Sigmar will be able to grab a new short story anthology, Oaths and Conquests, packed full of tales from the Mortal Realms, while underhive enthusiasts can get their hands on Josh Reynolds’ Kal Jerico novel Sinner’s Bounty. There’ll also be another in the growing range of 20th Anniversary Editions, this time celebrating everybody’s favorite convicts, the 13th Legion, by Gav Thorpe.
Add in the two Reader’s Choice novels selected by you in a recent vote, a short story anthology that will be available free at the Celebration, plus spectacular Adeptus Custodes-themed dice and a set of The Horus Heresy Legion pin badges
They also announced the Siege of Terra Book 4! Watch the trailer below.
This novella by McNeill of the Siege of Terra will be coming out in limited fashion later this year as well
Warhammer 4ok
15 years after the last book in the series, Colonel Schaeffer’s Last Chancers are returning to battle in Armageddon Saint by Gav Thorpe. Also coming back after a lengthy hiatus is Ephrael Stern, once a Sister of Battle, now become something else… You can discover her origins in a new full-color version of the classic Daemonifuge graphic novel. Her journey also continues in prose in David Annandale’s Ephrael Stern: Heretic Saint, which will debut in 2020 in a deluxe Mega Edition, akin to last year’s Spear of the Emperor or the forthcoming Darkness in the Blood.
Two more limited editions are coming as well. Those being the Novella Astorath: Angel of Mercy by Guy Haley and John French’s second Horusian Wars novel, Incarnation.
Josh Reynolds will also be returning to the 41st Millennium for his third Fabius Bile novel, the delightfully-named Manflayer, and Phil Kelly will continue uncovering T’au Empire Commander Farsight’s past as he encounters Chaos for the first time in Empire of Lies. Add in the new Imperial Fists-focused Space Marine Conquests novel Fist of the Imperium by Andy Clark and the all-action short story anthology Warriors and Warlords and there’s something for every Warhammer 40,000 fan.
Necromunda
Both of the Necromunda books also offer interesting stories about fan-favorite “Mad Donna” and a new Firebrand from house Cawdor.
