GW Shadow, Iron & Broken Realms Preview
Warhammer Preview incoming! This weekend, we’ll be bringing you the Warhammer Preview Online: Shadow, Iron & Broken Realms. The preview will be full of tantalising teases, new models, and cool stuff for a huge variety of games.
Six games are going to be included in the preview schedule for this weekend, so chances are there will be something for every Warhammer hobbyist. Be sure to see how these previews match up to what left to release on the GW Roadmap and the remaining Rumor Engine teasers.
New Age of Sigmar Boxset
Shadow & Pain AoS Battlebox Sets
This new boxset comes with two brand new character models for the Daughters of Khaine and Hedonites of Slaanesh faction, along with some new cavalry models for the ladder.
As well as loads of lovely models, the box includes rules and lore for everything inside, making it a perfect way to start exploring both the Daughters of Khaine and the Hedonites of Slaanesh. The story of Shadow and Pain is also a prequel to the next big event to hit the Mortal Realms. Gods will rise, the aelves will march, and the realms will break…
Lord of Pain
First up leading the Slannesh forces is the Lord of Pain. He is actually one of the first mortal characters for Slannesh in AoS in quite awhile. So those mortal enthusiasts out there should be happy!
The invading forces are commanded by a Lord of Pain. This champion of Slaanesh has sampled every vice and excess the Mortal Realms have to offer and mastered the arts of agony. On the tabletop, this translates to him channelling the pain he receives in combat, sharing it with those who inflicted it, then striking them down with his wicked soulpiercer mace.
Melusai Ironscale
As for the Daughters of Khaine, the Melusai Ironscale is leading the army while looking quite intimidating to her enemies. The army hasn’t seen much support in a while so this is definitely welcome to anyone playing the faction.
Leading the Daughters of Khaine is a Melusai Ironscale. Crafted from the most vengeful souls among all the aelves, this elite war leader is resistant to hostile magics and can channel Morathi’s might to turn foes into immobile – but fully conscious – crystal statues. In your games, that means enemies need to beware mortal wounds.
AoS Broken Realms Morathi
Broken Realms: Morathi is the first of many new additions to AoS. They seem to be serving a similar role as Psychic Awakening did for 40k. So we should expect to see stories move forward, new models, new rules, and perhaps new conflicts and paths out of the woodwork.
This new, era-defining narrative all kicks off with Broken Realms: Morathi. Whatever army you play, and whomever your allegiance lies with, prepare for war as the Daughters of Khaine come into conflict with not only the forces of Chaos but former allies both aelven and clad in sigmarite.
So is this the lead up to a new edition of Age of Sigmar already, or just another way to expand out and add to all the factions?
