Back In Stock For a Limited Time!

necron loreWith a new codex is also new lore! While we all might have some ideas about it, the specific details will all be inside the new Codex.

szarekhan dynastyNecrons get their own form of “Chapter Tactic” equivalent found in Dynasties (as they have previously). The first of which we get to see is the Szarekhan Dynasty. The Dynasty grants THREE unique abilities.

This one grants a 5+ feel-no-pain for mortal wounds, one reroll for one wound roll per unit, per round, and lastly when the Protocol of the Undying Legions becomes active, if every unit has the code, you can select both of the directives instead of the standard single directive.

necron protocolsSpeaking of Protocols, here is the Protocol of the Conquering Tyrant. Directive 1 adds extra range to your lords’ aura abilities. Your Lord’s Will, My Will Be Done, and Rites of Reanimation all get extended by 3 inches as well! Directive 2 allows units to shoot after falling back at -1 to hit. Both are solid options depending on your situation.

Units are affected by these protocols when within 6 inches of your characters and you select a directive each round after choosing a Protocol at the start of the game.

necron crusade-gemLastly a reveal for Crusade! This “Requisition” is a way to sort of build-your-own Overlord during a Crusade campaign. If you have an army with Destroyer Cult units at the end of a battle, you can choose to use this ability to Convert a Lord/Overlord to a Destroyer Cult Character. You will keep your XP and get the same number of Battle Honours it had beforehand.

Look for the new Codex to release in just a few weeks this October!
