Imperial Guard Take The Southampton GT: Top 3 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: Ed Watts – World Eaters
2nd Place: Mani Cheema – Dark Angels
1st Place: David Gaylard – Astra Militarum
David’s Guard was led by a Command Squad, which provided a source of orders and some decent special weapon bodies. There is also Leontus for an excellent support piece and overall model as the current standout “poster boy” of the faction. He also fielded a Death Korps Marshal for a cheap body and a Tank Commander for a fantastic model with AP power.
Troops bring in 40 Shock Troops as the new solid chaff choice for Guard bodies with decent ranged power for their small cost.
Elites go full Kasrkin with a total of 30 more elite bodies with some great ranged weapons, once again at a low price per model.
Fast Attacks have six Armoured Sentinel and a single Scout for decent mobility options with Plasma for anti-armor shots.
Heavy Support has two Leman Russes for armored flexible ranged threats and nine Mortars for long-range multi-purpose range shots.
And the list ends on a single Chimera for some chaff clearing.
