Warhammer 40k Christmas boxes are back for 2026; find out the Battleforce price, savings, release date, and points breakdowns for each Battleforce.
GW revealed the new Warhammer 40k Christmas boxes for 2026 (along with six new AoS Christmas boxes, and Horus Heresy versions over the past few weeks), and there are some pretty tempting army bundles in the lineup, including a Chaos Knights box that lines up with our earlier Christmas Battleforce rumors. Those rumors mentioned two Knight lance boxes, though, so we’re still wondering whether the other one might show up later on.
Either way, GW’s Warhammer Christmas boxes are probably the one time of year when the Battleforce format really works for most hobbyists. Once again, you can start an army from scratch or add a big chunk of points to one you’ve already got. Just plan on getting your box early, as we all know how fast these things can disappear from LGS shelves once they arrive.

Indomitus Task Force Warhammer Christmas Box Starts a Marine Army From Zero
Got a friend who’s finally ready to start Space Marines? This is probably the Warhammer Christmas box we’d point them toward.
At the $255 price, the Indomitus Task Force saves about $125 (33%) compared with $380 in separate kits and includes roughly 775 points of models.
Space Marines Christmas Box Indomitus Task Force Values & Pricing: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), £160 (UK), €206 (EU), ¥36,300 (Japan), ₩340,000 (Korea), $435 (Australia), $515 (New Zealand)
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Captain in Terminator Armor | $48.50 | 90 |
| 1 | Chaplain | $45 | 60 |
| 1 | Redemptor Dreadnought | $85 | 170 |
| 5 | Terminators | $72 | 190 |
| 5 | Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs | $62 | 95 |
| 10 | Intercessors | $67.50 | 170 |
| Indomitus Task Force Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $380 | 775 | |
| Savings Versus $255 Box Price: | $125 (33%) | ||
You’ve got a gun line, some Terminators to hold things down, and a jump pack squad ready to knock somebody off an objective. Sure, if you’ve been collecting Space Marines for years, you’ve probably already got more Intercessors than you know what to do with.
But for somebody starting fresh, this box lets you try more of the new 11th Edition Marine rules than anything else in the lineup. That’s pretty much what you want from a Christmas starter box.
If you’re a veteran, the contents are basically OK; it’s essentially an Armageddon-and-Leviathan combo box of sorts.
Helhunt Lance Hands Chaos Knights a Ready-Made Core
Chaos Knights players finally get a Christmas box that’s pretty straightforward.
At the $255 price, the Helhunt Lance saves about $153 (38%) compared with $408 in separate kits and includes roughly 865–930 points of models.
Chaos Knights Christmas Box Helhunt Lance Values & Pricing: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), £160 (UK), €206 (EU), ¥36,300 (Japan), ₩340,000 (Korea), $435 (Australia), $515 (New Zealand)
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Knight Ruinator (builds as a Knight Abominant, Rampager, or Desecrator) | $200 | 325–350 |
| 4 | War Dog Stalkers (build as Brigands or Karnivores) | $208 | 540–580 |
| Helhunt Lance Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $408 | 865–930 | |
| Savings Versus $255 Box Price: | $153 (38%) | ||
One big Knight stomping up the middle with four War Dogs running around the flanks? Yeah, that sounds like Chaos Knights. Most lists already work along those lines, and GW is basically telling you to keep the big guy protected with this one.
Armored Blitzmob Puts the Whole Mob in One Wagon
Alright, this new Christmas battleforce is about as Orky as it gets.
At the $255 price, the Armored Blitzmob saves about $133.50 (34%) compared with $388.50 in separate kits and includes roughly 605 points of models.
Orks Christmas Box Armored Blitzmob Values & Pricing: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), £160 (UK), €206 (EU), ¥36,300 (Japan), ₩340,000 (Korea), $435 (Australia), $515 (New Zealand)
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Warboss in Mega Armor | $45 | 115 |
| 1 | Battlewagon (builds as a Gunwagon) | $135 | 160 |
| 1 | Deff Dread | $67.50 | 130 |
| 3 | Meganobz | $76 | 115 |
| 10 | Ork Boyz | $65 | 85 |
| Armored Blitzmob Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $388.50 | 605 | |
| Savings Versus $255 Box Price: | $133.50 (34%) | ||
The idea here is simple. Stuff the Meganobz and Warboss into a Gunwagon and send them straight at somebody, or build the Battlewagon and pile all 10 Boyz inside instead. Either way, you’ve got the ride and the lads to fill it, all in one box.
Champions of Fenris is a Terminator List in a Box
Fifteen Wolf Guard Terminators in one box? Come on, that’s not really a starter set. That’s practically a list already.
At the $255 price, the Champions of Fenris saves about $85.50 (25%) compared with $340.50 in separate kits and includes roughly 850 points of models.
Space Wolves Christmas Box Champions of Fenris Values & Pricing: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), £160 (UK), €206 (EU), ¥36,300 (Japan), ₩340,000 (Korea), $435 (Australia), $515 (New Zealand)
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Logan Grimnar | $76 | 150 |
| 1 | Arjac Rockfist | $48.50 | 105 |
| 15 | Wolf Guard Terminators | $216 | 595 |
| Champions of Fenris Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $340.50 | 850 | |
| Savings Versus $255 Box Price: | $85.50 (25%) | ||
You’ve got the Great Wolf, his champion, and enough Terminators to make three squads. So yeah, this feels like a box for Space Wolves players who’ve already got their basic army sorted and want to grab a bunch of the big stuff at once. Just remember, you’re getting a whole lot of one specific unit type here.
Angelus Assault Force Christmas Box Drops Every Blood Angel From the Sky
This box looks a little lackluster right from the start, to be honest. It might have the value, sure, it just doesn’t look nearly as impressive as the other boxes.
At the $255 price, the Angelus Assault Force saves about $85 (25%) compared with $340 in separate kits and includes roughly 645 points of models.
Blood Angels Christmas Box Angelus Assault Force Values & Pricing: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), £160 (UK), €206 (EU), ¥36,300 (Japan), ₩340,000 (Korea), $435 (Australia), $515 (New Zealand)
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Commander Dante | $49 | 140 |
| 1 | Blood Angels Chaplain with Jump Pack | $41 | 75 |
| 1 | Death Company Brutalis Dreadnought | $89 | 165 |
| 3 | Sanguinary Guard | $62 | 135 |
| 5 | Death Company Marines with Jump Packs | $62 | 130 |
| N/A | Blood Angels Upgrade Frame | $37 | — |
| Angelus Assault Force Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $340 | 645 | |
| Savings Versus $255 Box Price: | $85 (25%) | ||
Our problem with this box isn’t even the dollar value on this box either; it’s just the fact that this doesn’t really help you start a proper army. Sure, you also get the upgrade frame, which is nice because your Death Company can actually look the part instead of relying on generic Marine bits.
But in our opinion, this Warhammer Christmas box is more of a “sampler box” than a Battleforce.

Cult of Destruction Will Tempt Every Iron Warriors Player
If you’re an Iron Warriors player though, GW pretty much just wrote your Christmas shopping list for you, complete with the most sought-after miniature of 2026, the Defiler.
At the $255 price, the Cult of Destruction saves about $164.50 (39%) compared with $419.50 in separate kits and includes roughly 945–975 points of models.
Chaos Space Marines Christmas Box Cult of Destruction Values & Pricing: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), £160 (UK), €206 (EU), ¥36,300 (Japan), ₩340,000 (Korea), $435 (Australia), $515 (New Zealand)
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | Warpsmith | $45 | 65 |
| 1 | Defiler | $151 | 300–330 |
| 3 | Venomcrawler & 2 Obliterators | $84 | 280 |
| 5 | Havocs | $67.50 | 135 |
| 3 | Mutilators | $72 | 165 |
| Cult of Destruction Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $419.50 | 945–975 | |
| Savings Versus $255 Box Price: | $164.50 (39%) | ||
That’s a whole lot of guns and daemon engines in one box. And really, GW has a point with this. Who’s going to turn down a Defiler? It’s clearly aimed at the Iron Warriors crowd, but there’s nothing stopping you from using all this stuff in another Chaos warband too.
Disciples of the Nekrosor Brings Two Centerpieces for Necrons
Necrons get a box most years, and this one mixes it up from the other ones a bit at least.
At the $255 price, the Disciples of the Nekrosor saves about $122.50 (32%) compared with $377.50 in separate kits and includes roughly 890 points of models.
Necrons Christmas Box Disciples of the Nekrosor Values & Pricing: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), £160 (UK), €206 (EU), ¥36,300 (Japan), ₩340,000 (Korea), $435 (Australia), $515 (New Zealand)
| Models | Unit Name | Value | Points |
| 1 | C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer | $135 | 360 |
| 1 | Nekrosor Ammentar | $65 | 195 |
| 3 | Ophydian Destroyers | $67.50 | 80 |
| 1 | Canoptek Doomstalker | $55 | 130 |
| 13 | 10 Necron Warriors & 3 Canoptek Scarab Swarms | $55 | 125 |
| Disciples of the Nekrosor Battleforce Box | |||
| Total MSRP: | $377.50 | 890 | |
| Savings Versus $255 Box Price: | $122.50 (32%) | ||
You get two big centerpiece models, plus a bunch of familiar Necron units to go with them. That’s a pretty solid mix for a Necron Christmas box. Ammentar has already spent the year causing trouble across Ultramar in the story, so it makes sense that GW would put him front and center here with a new Necron Battleforce.
40k Christmas Battleforce Box Sets Points Costs
Here are the approximate points values of the new 40k Christmas Battleforces, but keep in mind these points may fluctuate as new Munitorum field manual updates come out throughout 11th edition.
| Battleforce | Total Points |
|---|---|
| Space Marines: Indomitus Task Force | 775 |
| Chaos Knights: Helhunt Lance | 865-930 |
| Orks: Armored Blitzmob | 605 |
| Space Wolves: Champions of Fenris | 850 |
| Blood Angels: Angelus Assault Force | 645 |
| Chaos Space Marines: Cult of Destruction | 945-975 |
| Necrons: Disciples of the Nekrosor | 890 |

Which of the Warhammer Christmas boxes for 2026 are going under your tree this year?

If you can’t be asked to write it, why should I read it, Rob?
What gave you away:
“None of that makes the rumor real, of course” This is a classic AI-style disclaimer, typical of copilot n particular.
“It all comes down to…” AI generic transition phrase
Most importantly, the last paragraph repeatedly hedges: “If this is real,” “It all comes down to,” “may be.” it’s the stacking of cautious phrases, that any human would write twice and AI doesn’t have a limit.
Apologies if I got it wrong, but if this writing isn’t AI then it closely resembles AI-generated commentary which is equally weird.
My AI detector goes off at the drop of a hat, but I didn’t get so much as a *ping* from this article. Maybe you need to recalibrate?
I’m gonna be honest with everybody: of course, we use AI. EVERYBODY uses AI for something, but at the end of the day, they is still really humans here in the loop. A whole team of them, lol.
It’s kind of wild that you think that I’m just generating articles raw dog through AI and just publishing them willy-nilly, bro. We have a whole team here, from video editing to social media; this isn’t just one dude in his basement hitting “Go”.
I apologize for making it look so easy that you have to look for reasons to discredit us.
