1st Place: Jens ‘Bothi’ Bothur – Necrons Army Lists
Jens’ Necron army marched into the Hamburg Major 2025 and came out on top, proving once again that ancient deathless warriors with a grudge can still bring the pain in the 41st millennium. This list combines hard-hitting firepower, relentless resilience, and a touch of Necron trickery to dominate the battlefield.
Leading the charge were two Hexmark Destroyers—sharp-shooting gunslingers who bring a serious ranged threat. Whether it’s picking off key targets or clearing chaff, these duel-wielding death machines are never far from the action. Backing them up was none other than Imotekh the Stormlord, bringing not just his terrifying mortal wounds but also a steady stream of command points, ensuring Jens always had a trick up his metallic sleeve.
The Lokhust Lord stood as a beacon of reliability, providing a critical hit buff to his unit and ensuring that every shot counted. And, of course, no Necron list of this caliber would be complete without the Silent King himself. With his incredible stats, powerful abilities, and an all-in-one package of devastation and support, he was the linchpin of the entire force.
Beyond the big names, Jens’ list featured a solid supporting cast. The Canoptek Reanimator was an ever-present guardian, boosting reanimation protocols to keep the army in the fight longer than the opposition could handle.
Canoptek Spyders offered a crucial layer of protection, handing out a feel-no-pain aura to nearby vehicles—perfect for keeping those heavy hitters alive and kicking.
Speaking of firepower, the Doomsday Ark and a duo of Tomb Blades brought mobility and ranged support, allowing for flexible battlefield control and objective play. Lokhust and Skorpekh Destroyers, along with their heavier counterparts, delivered pinpoint devastation, cracking open enemy armor and obliterating high-value targets before they could retaliate.
On the melee front, the ever-reliable Flayed Ones brought their claws and an insatiable hunger for combat. Simple yet effective, they offered a much-needed melee presence without overcomplicating the game plan.
Rounding out the list, Jens included a pair of Triarch Stalkers, delivering high-strength shots while stripping enemy units of their precious cover saves. Perfect for softening up the opposition before the real pain arrived.
2nd Place: Sebastian Müller – Dark Angels Army Lists
3rd Place: Ben Hackländer – Death Guard Army Lists
Final Thoughts on Army Lists: Hamburg Major 2025
This Necron list wasn’t just about raw firepower or relentless durability—it was a well-oiled machine that leveraged every ounce of its strengths to control the battlefield. From pinning down enemy units with precision shooting, holding the line with near-indestructible resilience, to overwhelming the opposition with surgical strikes, Jens’ approach showed a deep understanding of Necron capabilities and the metagame alike.
These top army lists from the Hamburg Major 2025 are a reminder that the Necrons can win if built with every unit having a purpose, and every move is part of a grand strategy. With a little bit of finesse, they can hold their own against even the deadliest Death Guard and Dark Angels army lists.
