1st Place: Donovan Sailo, Grey Knights Army Lists
At the Smite Club Open, one Grey Knights list rolled in and made it clear that psychic warfare, teleportation tricks, and a giant robot with a hammer are still very effective ways to solve problems.
The list opened strong with a Brotherhood Librarian leading the psychic charge. Armed with Vortex of Doom and the Pyresoul enhancement. Castellan Crowe came along swinging the Black Blade of Antwyr like he was on a one-man redemption arc, slinging Purifying Flame while refusing to fall over.
Finally, a new Grand Master in Nemesis Dreadknight that was fully loaded with a hammer and a heavy psycannon. On the infantry side, one Strike Squad anchored the list with classic force weapons and storm bolters.
Then came three Interceptor Squads. These guys were everywhere. On an objective? Harassing the backfield? Interceptors. Firing psychic bolts into your Warlord while backflipping through ruins? You guessed it.
Next, a Paladin Squad brought durability and psychic punch, with a banner-waving Ancient, an Apothecary, and enough incinerators to clear out whatever was unlucky enough to get close.
Then there were ten Purifiers, fully loaded with Purifying Flame, psycannons, and the willpower of a thousand sermons.
For flavor and function, two Assassins joined the fray. A Callidus slipped in to ruin enemy plans and delete key characters, while a Culexus did the same to psykers, turning enemy casters into very expensive liabilities.
Then, just when you thought it couldn’t get weirder, Canis Rex showed up. The chain-breaking Knight strode into battle with Freedom’s Hand and a las-impulsor, making sure anything not already vaporized by psychic fire got stomped into the dirt.
2nd Place: Jacob Wagner, Necron Army Lists
3rd Place: Wyatt Harris, Genestealer Cults Army Lists
