This Warhammer rumor engine preview appears to be a fancy Old World or fantasy-style lantern, but who could it be for?
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.

New Warhammer Rumor Engine Preview: March 3rd, 2026
This new Warhammer rumor engine is clearly a lantern, but it’s hard to say for sure what faction or even gamesystem it’s for. It does have a noticeable Old World or Fantasy Empire vibe, but it could just as easily be a super pompous Necromunda hive lord!
With that being said, we think it looks like it could be on top of a carriage, not unlike the Luminark of Hysh!
The luminark has candles, and doesn’t look horrible, but a refresh or remake of this huge chariot might be mindblowing for an AoS/Old World model.
Otherwise, specialist games have plenty of potential too! Either way, this is a rumor engine with tons of possible options; it will be cool to see the future model when it is revealed!
