Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.

New Warhammer Rumor Engine Preview: May 5th, 2026
This new Warhammer rumor engine is a hand holding a crudely forged weapon or tool, and it most likely fits in Age of Sigmar or the Old World.
Naturally, low tech can exist in 40k too, so it’s possible to be there or a specialist game like Necromunda even, but our bet is on humans or dwarves in the fantasy settings.
Just because it’s a simple tool and a gloved hand also doesn’t mean it can’t be a sweet new character miniature. Personally, I’d love to see something like Brunner the bounty hunter from fantasy. I loved his books and the perspective they brought to the setting back in the day.
The question is, could all this be in “fairy tale land”? Is this just going to be a simple troop, or will GW pull a fast one on us all with the reveal and make it a Warhammer 40k mini instead?
