New Warhammer AoS previews hint at massive changes from GW, echoing End Times rumors about reshaping the Mortal Realms.
Age of Sigmar rumors about a Last World just got a first-party echo, and GW’s new Seraphon prophet is warning of a Great Fall.
Six months ago, an anonymous rumor said the Mortal Realms were about to collapse into one world. Then on September 18, GW handed a lizard a vision of reality changing forever.
Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe that’s the first little breadcrumb on the trail. Blessed Tetaxi showed up in the Big Autumn Preview as a skink prophet trying to stop a “Great Fall,” and yeah, that’s the kind of wording that makes you pull the old Last World rumor back out of the drawer.
GW hasn’t connected the two. Nobody at Warhammer Community said “Last World,” or that the realms are merging. Still, if you’ve been following Age of Sigmar 5th Edition and wondering where the story goes next, GW’s wording lands awfully close to what that rumor claimed.
So yeah, it’s probably worth putting the two side by side.

That March Last World Rumor Deserves a Second Look Now
So what did that March leak actually claim? Well, quite a bit to be honest. Archaon and the Skaven devastate the Mortal Realms. Sigmar makes one last play and merges what’s left into a single planet called The Last World. Then Sigmar dies doing it.
And that wasn’t all. The rumor also talked about missing gods, a different future for the Stormcast Eternals, and a setting that winds up feeling a lot more like Warhammer Fantasy. If you remember GW’s End Times books, then you already know blowing up an entire setting isn’t exactly outside the playbook.
Of course, this all came from anonymous posts, which is mostly full trust-me-bro territory. Most of us filed it away in March and went back to painting.
Now that GW has started using similar language, that old rumor is harder to just shrug off.
Tetaxi’s Vision Is Way Bigger Than a Battletome Needs
Battletome reveals usually don’t go this hard. You get a new hero, a rules hook, maybe some flavor text about whatever local fight is going on. Tetaxi’s reveal went much bigger because GW started talking about cosmic visions, a coming Great Fall, and a catastrophe threatening the Mortal Realms as a whole.
“Tetaxi has had his mind blasted by a series of cosmic secrets and terrible visions, the most foreboding of which insisted that a Great Fall was approaching that would alter the nature of reality forever.”
That’s quite a bit of doom for a book that’s also trying to sell you new Seraphon models. Then we get the line that really sticks out: a Great Fall that would “alter the nature of reality forever.“
That’s not exactly Seraphon-versus-Chaos-at-a-realmgate stuff. A faction scrap doesn’t alter reality forever. Whatever Tetaxi is seeing, it sure sounds bigger than that.
GW still has plenty of wiggle room here, though. “Reality forever” could mean a huge story event that shakes up the setting without rebooting anything, and GW still has a 2026 AoS roadmap full of kits to sell either way.
But nothing is confirmed until GW says it, oh wait… maybe they have already now…?
A Great Fall Fits the Rumor Without Proving It
“Great Fall” is wonderfully vague, which is exactly why it stands out to us. Are we talking about the fall of a realm? A god? The whole current setup of the Mortal Realms?
The March rumor hits all three at once becasue the Realms get wrecked, Sigmar dies, and the realms eventually stop being separate realms at all.
That’s why Tetaxi’s prophecy fits this one better than a lot of AoS rumors usually do. GW still hasn’t used the name The Last World, and definitely it hasn’t said the realms are merging.
It’s all just a pretty interesting clue sitting next to an anonymous rumor that suddenly doesn’t look quite as random.
The Seraphon Have Already Watched One World Die
Then there’s the fact that GW picked a Seraphon to deliver the warning, which feels pretty fitting. When Chaos consumed the World-That-Was, the Slann escaped aboard their awakened temple ships and later showed up in the Mortal Realms.
These guys have already survived one world ending.
Tetaxi isn’t a Slann, though; he’s a prophetic skink, but GW has still put a Seraphon voice right at the front of another existential warning. That’s hard not to notice, honestly, that the faction that already watched one world go down is now the one ringing the alarm bell…

GW also gave Tetaxi a way to spread the message. According to GW, the Stone of Tehemundi lets him project his visions into other minds. So he’s clearly not just some one-off character tucked into the back of the book.
Put that together, and you can pretty much see how GW could use him in the story. If the Great Fall grows into a wider narrative, Tetaxi can carry that warning to the Stormcast or whoever else needs to hear it. He didn’t end up front and center in the Big Autumn Preview for nothing; that’s just how we’re reading it right now anyways.
So, if GW does announce a campaign around it, the messenger is already sitting there ready to go.
Final Thoughts on the Age of Sigmar Rumors
So are the Seraphon about to watch another world end, or is GW setting up a disaster Tetaxi can still stop? Either way, Tetaxi’s prophecy suddenly feels like more than throwaway battletome fluff. Even if a Great Fall that gets prevented gives Tetaxi a pretty important role in whatever comes next.
The real question is how much of this, if any, ends up matching that March rumor. We’re definitely not calling those confirmed, but now that GW has used official wording that fits the basic shape of that rumor, every new Seraphon story is probably going to get read with that old rumor sitting right next to it…
