GW’s Warhammer Autumn Preview packed in 11 reveals, from new Duardin and Legion of the Damned to Astartes II, Custodes, Tomb Kings, and a paint shakeup.
Eight game systems, twelve reveals, and Age of Sigmar might have got top billing here, with a brand-new faction. But don’t worry too much, 40k still got a handful of reveals, and one long-awaited rework right at the end.
Warhammer Tone Pro is the oddball of the bunch, and if you were watching the live show, it didn’t land quite like GW was expecting. Overall, the reveal was all over the place, but maybe that’s just enough to keep everyone dialed in through the fall.
It’s also GW’s fourth major reveal show of 2026, after the New Year preview and AdeptiCon, and we’ll walk through all the big reveals below in the order they hit the show.
Warhammer Tone Pro Is GW’s New One-Pot Approach to Top-Level Painting
- The three reveals that moved the preview needle: The Khazalite Holds bring an entirely new duardin faction to Age of Sigmar, the Legion of the Damned finally return through Kill Team: Armageddon, and Adeptus Custodes are getting Aquilon Terminators alongside a new codex.
- GW spread the Autumn Preview across the whole hobby: 40k, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar, Warhammer Quest, Blood Bowl, The Old World, Necromunda, Warhammer TV, and even the paint range all got attention.
- What we’re watching next: Release dates, launch boxes, full model galleries, rules previews, and exactly how GW plans to roll out its new Warhammer Tone Pro paint system.

We won’t really know how useful that is until people can get the paints on a brush, especially since the chat wasn’t really into the reveal, like at all.
The Legion of the Damned Return in Kill Team: Armageddon
The Legion of the Damned are coming back to 40k in the new Kill Team: Armageddon box, showing up just as the Orks turn the planet into a warzone once again. The new models bring back all the old-school 40k energy, with flames, skull-covered armor, and ghostly details, and they match perfectly with the updated Nobz on the other side of the box.
They’ve spent years haunting the edges of modern 40k, so seeing them back on the tabletop feels long overdue. If you like black armor, fire effects, and enough skulls to make a Chaplain jealous, this kill team has plenty to work with.
Warhammer Quest: Darkwater Heads to the Jade Abbey

GW hasn’t revealed much else yet, but anyone already playing Darkwater knows its first expansion is coming.
Seraphon Get Tetaxi, Prophet of Tepok, and a New Battletome
Tetaxi, Prophet of Tepok, is a new Seraphon character connected to the feathered serpent-god Tepok. Tetaxi rides into battle on a blessed flying mount, and he’s not coming alone, as the Seraphon are also grabbing a new battletome as well.
The Khazalite Holds Bring a Brand-New Duardin Faction to Age of Sigmar

GW showed off a whole batch of new minis, but the army box will launch first, with the rest following soon after.
Necromunda Is Getting Its Own Tabletop Roleplaying Game

There’s a lot of Necromunda beyond just a skirmish game, and the RPG gives players another way to spend time in that setting.
Night Goblins Bring Squigs and Absolutely No Cheating to Blood Bowl

Tomb Kings Raise Fresh Reinforcements for The Old World

Astartes II Gets a New Trailer Ahead of Its Warhammer TV Release

The original Astartes project is still the benchmark this sequel will be compared to, so it really has to deliver when it finally goes live in December,
Aquilon Terminators Suit Up With a New Codex: Adeptus Custodes

The rumors said they would be Toughness 10, and they weren’t far off… as Terminators land at T8 and regular Custodes get pushed to T7. GW seems to finally be embracing the truly elite nature of the army with this new book.
Final Thoughts on the Warhammer Autumn Preview 2026
GW threw a little bit of everything into this Autumn Preview, but the real hobbying is still ahead. The Legion of the Damned are back, the Khazalite Holds are opening up a whole new Age of Sigmar army, Custodes are getting nastier, but all of these reveals are still waiting on release dates, rules, and full model breakdowns.
Now it’s mostly a matter of seeing what hits pre-order first, what the prices look like, and which of these previews turns into the next must-build project on everyone’s hobby desk.
If nothing else, GW has given players plenty to look for heading into the rest of 2026.
