Micro Art Studio just dropped its cheapest US shipping option by nearly 70%, from €39 to €12, which makes most orders easier to justify.
We’ve all done it. Fill up a cart with resin bases, hit checkout, see the shipping costs and… yeah, maybe not today.
For US hobbyists ordering from Micro Art Studio, shipping used to start at €39. Now it starts at €12. That’s the kind of drop that turns “maybe after the next paycheck” into “fine, let’s base the army” if you’ve had their stuff bookmarked for a project.
And the cheaper shipping still isn’t our favorite part. The new rates are DDP, so duties and tariffs are already included and paid, which, after what the trade war has done to hobby prices, might be the bigger deal for US buyers.
Plus, this is their second US shipping cut this year, so somebody over there has clearly been listening to US customers.

Yeah, €12 is a lot easier to swallow at checkout, for sure. But if you’ve ordered from overseas lately, you know shipping was only part of the problem. You also had to wonder whether another bill was going to show up later.
DDP (delivered duty paid) means the duties and tariffs are already baked into what you pay, so there’s no extra customs bill waiting when the box lands on your porch.
We’d take that kind of certainty over a slightly cheaper sticker price any day. Knowing what the order really costs before you pay is a lot better than getting surprised later, and after all the tariff back-and-forth we’ve been tracking, knowing your real total before you click buy is worth a lot.
Big Orders Stop Getting Punished for Being Big
And the cheaper rates aren’t just for small orders. Micro Art Studio says heavier shipments cost less now too, so larger orders cost less to ship alongside the small ones.
Which is super important if you’re ordering enough bases for a whole army (they’ve added a ton of base sizes over the years) or kitting out a table with something like their pre-painted terrain bundles. Terrain gets heavy fast, and that’s when overseas shipping can really start hurting.
We don’t have the new heavy-order rates in front of us, so definitely check the total before you check out. Still, paying less to ship the heavy stuff is a welcome change.

People always complain plenty when shipping and tariffs make an order hard to justify, so yeah, they deserve some credit when they actually make it cheaper. Two US shipping cuts in one year, plus DDP, is the kind of thing US buyers have been asking overseas shops for.
