Today’s new Warhammer Rumor Engine preview looks like GW might be teasing Empire for Old World, but could the quill be for AoS instead?
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.

New Warhammer Rumor Engine Preview: September 29th, 2026
The Empire is still almost all old models, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see GW rework them for The Old World. Obviously, it could also be for something in AoS with the recent Last World rumors, but the style gives off more Old World vibes.
The old Engineer for the War Wagon is writing something with a big quill, and GW loves to redo large minis for these reworks. Obviously, it could be any engineer, mage, etc, but this looks fairly close to us style-wise.
But since almost every fantasy game has some kind of feather like this, it could always be just about anything else.
