Exciting times are just ahead for fans of comics and tabletop games as Alliance Games, and Diamond Comics distributors are set to reopen in May.
Alliance Game Distributors and Diamond Comic Distributors, sister companies of Geppi Family Enterprises just announced that they are going to be back up and running by May 20th.
Alliance Games & Diamond Comics Re-Opening in May
Alliance and Diamond distributors sent out an email to all their hobby and game store accounts with an exciting notice on what’s ahead later this month:
We are thrilled to tell you today that May 20 is no longer a target but is now the OFFICIAL first on-sale date for our resumed distribution of comics. Game products will also begin to ship that week. We are very excited to have reached this important point in our industry’s recovery and could not have done it without the tremendous support of our partners.
Alliance Game Distributors will resume distribution the week of May 18. As we are nearer that date, we will have further information on which distribution centers will be open in accordance with local laws.
Like almost every other business across the globe, these two sister companies had to close their doors for a while. The crisis might have left an impact, but the good news is that companies are beginning to operate once again, albeit at a modified “norm”. Now, we get to look for new shipments of comics and games to populate the shelves once again.
If you didn’t know, Alliance Games Distributors is responsible for supplying games from manufacturers like Asmodee North America, Wizkids, Games Workshop, etc. While Diamond distributes comic books, and so much more.
You may not have realized it, but these two companies are responsible for a huge portion of what gets put on the shelves at stores and into your collection. Now that they’re going to up and running again soon, we should have new reading material and board games to crack open with the family.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of good news as the world begins to slowly bounce back from the crisis.
