Today’s new Warhammer Rumor Engine preview looks like GW might not be done updating Cathay, or maybe a Kislev trinket is finally on the way.
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.
Let’s take a look and try to guess until then!
New Warhammer Rumor Engine Preview: October 20th, 2026
To us, this looks like a Cathay trinket of some kind because it matches up to the current style pretty well. But really, this is fairly generic for most fantasy games.
If you look at the medallions on the belts and the bird keeper’s arm, they have a very similar style. As to what else they could add for Cathay? The Tiger Warriors have been rumored for a while.
In Total War they don’t really have a trinket like this, but GW never does the designs 1:1.
Or you could always put on the tinfoil hat and say this is the time GW finally brings back Kislev! We’ve guessed at that before, but it can’t hurt to hope.
But since almost every fantasy game has some kind of base like this, it could be anything else for Old World or AoS too…
