My buddies YepImadork and Seppuku made the shop a pretty sweet terrain table a few months ago. They packed in a ton of detail into the board that really puts it over the top both in terms of play-ability and appearance IMHO. Here’s a brief summary how they made the board. To start, they used 1/8″ thick plastic […]

Rob has also won many Warhammer 40k Tournaments over the years, including multiple first-place finishes in Warhammer 40k Grand Tournaments and even winning 1st place at the 2011 Adepticon 40k Team Tournament. He was even featured for his painting in issue #304 of Games Workshop’s White Dwarf Magazine.
With over 30 years of experience in retail and distribution, Rob knows all the products and exactly which ones are the best. As a member of GAMA (Game Manufacturers Association), he advocates for gaming stores and manufacturers in these difficult times. He also advises major hedge funds on stocks like Games Workshop and Asmodee.
He is always looking for the next big thing to feature for the miniatures hobby, helping everyone provide the value consumers want.
While he’s played every edition of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy (since 5th Edition) and has been hobbying on miniatures since the 1980s, Titans of all sizes will always be his favorite! It’s even rumored that his hobby vault rivals the Solemnance Galleries, containing rulebooks filled with lore from editions long past, ancient packs of black-bordered Magic Cards, and models made of both pewter and resin.
Hey guys welcome back. Today I’m going to go over step by step how I painted up my Chaos Space Marine Death Guard models for an upcoming Apocalypse Game.It was really simple and took about 4-5 hours total for each squad of ten, which I thought for the end result was great. Keep in mind […]
Read MoreSo I cornered Jkin the other day, to get pics of his Pre-Heresy styled Ahriman for his Scarab Occult army, and boy does it rock. Check out this bad boy below! To kick off this project he started with a just normal Grey Knight Terminator (for statue he’s still “in power armor”), and just went […]
Read MoreWelcome to Armies on Parade, where I display (in hopefully good detail) some great looking armies from major tournaments all across the United States. If you click on the Armies on Parade label you’ll be able to scroll through some great looking armies, all at once. It’s like you were at a major event yourself, all from […]
Read MoreMechanized Imperial Guard has been a strong build pretty much since it’s release. I started running it shortly thereafter with my Looted Guard, and did very well with the army over the past few years (most recently going 6-1 and winning the American Team Championships). In this new competitive era of win/ loss and Primary Secondary Tertiary objectives at tournaments, I’ve had […]
Read MoreWelcome to a guest post by TerranRaida. I asked him to do a review on the new Liquid Green Stuff, and he begrudgingly obliged me. You can catch up with this Master of the English Language over on his blog C.R.E.A.M (Change Rules Everything Around Me).Two days ago, bloodshot eyes at 2AM listening to Dr. Know and debating about what video to […]
Read MoreWay back in the day before Pre-Heresy was “cool”, I attempted an ambitious project: a Pre-Heresy Iron Fists Army. Unfortunately for me, my painting skills weren’t quite up to the task and I couldn’t quite pull off painting yellow then. But I certainly had fun converting the army, and that’s all that counts. Eventually I went back and started painting them green for […]
Read MoreThis was my old Daemon army I recently sold on eBay. I never really 100% finished it, and just kinda lost interest in them I guess. Hopefully their new home treats them better than keeping them boxed up all the time. Sometimes a project just falls to the waist side. I think next time I do Daemons […]
Read MoreSo last time we talked a little about the current Grey Knights Meta. Now lets take a look at some anti Grey Knights tactics, and see how I’ve defeated them using Blood Angels. For a lot of players Blood Angels may not even be a consideration in this current world of Space Wolves, Imperial Guard, and Grey Knights, oh […]
Read MoreIt seems everywhere you go these days it’s Grey Knights all the time. Why? Well lets face it, they have a very broad appeal and in the local environment they seem to be easy to win with. Casual players may not have adapted to their tricks and tactics yet, and the GK’s can win just on their […]
Read MoreWelcome to another great work in progress post on Jkin’s Pre-Heresy Style Thousand Sons. He’s really putting a lot of work into these guys, and it definitely shows. It’s nice every once in awhile to see a hobbyist doing something for the love of the hobby, rather than what plays well- or is considered the […]
Read MoreThis is a bit of guest post by Duke, of Dukes Inferno about the Feast of Blade Tournament coming up in about a month. I plan on attending, and honestly it sounds like a pretty good time! I want to see Feast growing to include stores from coast to coast. Last year we had 13 […]
Read MoreThere is a neat little community out there that came up with a true skirmish version of 40k. It’s called “Death Squads” and it’s pretty cool. You can find out more over on their site. You have to register to get to the downloads section, but once you do all the resources are then available. There […]
Read MoreToday starts a new recurring segment called Warkitteh, which is basically pics of my cats being stupid. I happen to have several cats, and they all seem to dig my toy soldiers. By dig I mean do dumb things around them, and that my friends is funny. Seriously whats better to laugh at, than cats doing stupid […]
Read MoreHere is a guest “Guide” by Scottywon82. According to him it’s not really complicated enough to warrant the name, but I still like it. You can find Scottywon82 lurking about over on DakkaDakka most of the time, or harassing us at FTW Games 🙂For the army list, I plan on running – at 1000 points – […]
Read MoreFor those of you not familiar with it there is an old board game out there, that was just re done in fact, that emulates a first person shooter. It pretty much combines the play of 40k with the ridiculousness of Duke Nukem, and makes for a lot of fun. The game is called FRAG! and it’s a AWESOME. […]
Read MoreIt’s the age old question- Magnets how do they work? Some say magic, but I am almost 100% sure Tom Cruise has something to do with it. Regardless, they just work and its awesome! Today we have a Two-Fer for you, how to magnetize your Stormraven, and how to magnetize stuff in general. So back […]
Read MoreA few years ago I wanted to convert up an Ironclad model before it was released. I had a few ideas but after seeing some of the stuff my buddy Plunkett was doing with his stuff, I decided to let him have a go at it. Then I could just detail it out the rest […]
