Today’s new Warhammer Rumor Engine preview looks like GW might be teasing another Necromunda release, but could the autogun be for 40k instead?
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.

New Warhammer Rumor Engine Preview: September 22nd, 2026
To us this feels very much like another gang rework for Necromunda, especially with the new big box set and RPG game. Orlock hasn’t had new minis in a while, and this looks very much like some of the barrels they already have.
Basically, every gang in Necromunda has some kind of autogun in it. Obviously, we’re guessing Orlock, but it could easily be Delaque as well, since they’re also in need of a rework.
The 40k choice could easily be a Chaos Cultist. They have plenty of autoguns in the squad, and who doesn’t want new cultists? But since almost every grimdark game has some kind of gun like this, it could always be just about anything else.
