The new Necromunda edition Core Set and Underhive gangs and accessories that were on pre-order are all now in stores worldwide. 

GW revealed a full new edition of Necromunda, and most of the range is arriving at once. The Core Set includes two brand-new plastic gangs, terrain, rules, cards, and the tools needed to start playing.

That gives new players a much easier route into the game without having to track down several older books first.

Here’s the full lineup that’s in stores now, plus our take on each release.

The latest Necromunda pre-orders go live on Saturday, August 1, around 1 p.m. EST in the States, with a street date of Saturday, August 15.

How Warhammer Pre-Orders Work:

  • UK, EU, AUS/NZ: Pre-Orders start at 5 pm EST every Friday for Independent retailers in these regions
  • North America/US: Next, they go live at 12 midnight at some independent retailers in North America.
  • Warhammer Webstore: Finally, pre-orders go live on Games Workshop’s own website at 1 pm Eastern time on Saturdays, along with other North American retailers.

The Core Set includes eight new House Escher gangers, eight new Goliath bruisers, a game board, and broken-pipe terrain.

It also comes with the full Core Rulebook, Gang Tactics and Campaign Scenario cards, a starter guide, a construction booklet, 54 condition and status markers, a folding range ruler, dice, and templates.

Necromunda Skirmish: Core Set Hobby Tips

Build the Escher and Goliath fighters in subassemblies so you can reach the recessed details around their arms and heads. Prime the pipe terrain separately, then add a heavy drybrush and rust weathering to give it the dirty industrial finish Necromunda needs.

Every existing Necromunda miniature remains compatible with the new edition, so current players can keep using their collections.

Gangs of the Underhive Book covers the Houses, Palanite Enforcers, Venators, and Corpse Grinder Cults.

On the other hand, the Gangs of the Outlands book includes Outcasts, Free Ogryns, Genestealer Cults, Chaos Helots, Malstrain, Ironhead Squat prospectors, and Ash Waste Nomads.

These new Underhive Crew boxes cover Cawdor, Orlock, Goliath, Escher, Delaque, and Van Saar.

Each box contains around 16 to 20 miniatures from existing kits, plus a House-specific Weapons and Upgrades set. It’s a faster way to build a broad gang roster without buying several boxes separately.

Batch paint the gang by priming every model together, laying down the main House color, and then working through weapons and details. You can also magnetize compatible weapon arms so you can make better use of the extra loadout options.

The Zone Mortalis Factoria Pipes set includes damaged pipes and industrial machinery designed to match the existing terrain range.

It has larger pieces and more options than the terrain included in the Core Set, making it useful for expanding an existing board or adding more cover to a new one.

Spray the terrain rust-brown, sponge on lighter metallics, and add oxidized green details around pipes and leaks. Be sure to keep the larger pieces modular too so you can change sightlines and choke points between games.
