GW revealed their latest Warhammer releases featuring four new 40k Chaos Battleforces, Horus Heresy, and Old World, hitting pre-order this week!
Games Workshop has just revealed its latest pre-orders this week for Warhammer 40k, featuring the new Chaos Battleforces, plus a selection of Horus Heresy, Old World, and Black Library books!
Here’s the full lineup, along with our thoughts on all the new products that are hitting pre-order this week!
New Warhammer 40k Pre-Order Releases:
These products will be available for pre-order on Saturday, January 31st, around 1 p.m. EST in the States, with a shelf release date of Saturday, February 14th, 2026.
If you’re still waiting on something else to hit pre-order, though, be sure to check out the latest new release lineup in our updated Warhammer Roadmap for 2026.
Note: All products, except the books, are delayed in Australia and New Zealand this week. The Horus Heresy and Old World releases are repacks, so you may be able to find their original release bundles as a better option, depending on how much you want.
Battleforce: Khorne Daemonkin
Khorne shows up with the subtlety of a chainaxe to the face. This battleforce is built for players who want to hit the gas, hit the enemy, then hit the enemy again for good measure. Inside the box:
- A Lord on Juggernaut, with the option to build the Epic Hero Lord Invocatus
- A Master of Executions
- Six mounted Bloodcrushers
- 10 Khorne Berzerkers
- 20 Bloodletters
- A World Eaters transfer sheet containing 200 decals

Battleforce: Sekhmet Coven
Tzeentch brings the thinking person’s hammer, which is still a hammer, it just glows and laughs at physics. Sekhmet Coven stacks the Thousand Sons’ heavy hitters into one tidy pile of armor, firepower, and warp nonsense:
- An Infernal Master
- Three Exalted Sorcerers
- A Mutalith Vortex Beast
- 10 Scarab Occult Terminators
- Two Chaos Space Marines transfer sheets, each holding 364 decals

Battleforce: Vile Vectorium
Nurgle’s crew does not sprint, they simply keep coming, and the problem becomes yours. Vile Vectorium mixes bodies, Terminators, and buzzing machines into a box that can push, grind, and outlast just about anyone who thought this fight would be quick:
- Lord Felthius (a Lord of Contagion) and his Tainted Cohort of three Blightlord Terminators
- Three Deathshroud Terminators
- Three Foetid Bloat-drones
- 20 Poxwalkers

Battleforce: Lords of Excess
Slaanesh shows up looking fabulous and acting like armor trim is a lifestyle choice. This set works as a launch pad for Emperor’s Children or a loud upgrade for an existing collection, with plenty of plastic for maximum bad decisions:
- A monstrous Daemon Prince
- 20 Infractors, with an option to build them as Tormentors
- 12 Noise Marines
- Four Emperor’s Children transfer sheets, each containing 150 decals

New Warhammer The Old World Pre-Order Releases
Gather ’round and ready your wallets because it’s time to revisit the battle-scarred world of Warhammer: The Old World! These new products may be your golden ticket to glory.
Chaos Marauder Horsemen
Chaos needs shock cavalry, and the Northmen are happy to volunteer, mainly for the screaming and looting. This box gives ten plastic Marauder Horsemen that can run as one big unit or split into two groups of five, each with a Champion, musician, and standard bearer. Each group of five gets thirteen different heads, and every rider can take either a hand weapon and shield or a flail.
Chaos Marauders
The northern hordes stay busy raiding the Old World’s borders, stacking trophies for the Dark Gods and leaving polite society to deal with the mess. This kit builds 20 plastic Marauders that can form one large unit or two smaller groups. Each one can carry a hand weapon and shield, a great weapon, or a flail, and the box includes a Warriors of Chaos transfer sheet containing 246 decals.
New Warhammer Horus Heresy Pre-Order Releases
New pre-orders are here for The Horus Heresy Age of Darkness, bringing a tidal wave of excitement for all 30k players out there!
You can still get these units in the Siege Assault Battle Group that was released on January 10th, 2026.
Cataphractii Terminators
Veterans earn Cataphractii Tactical Dreadnought Armour by surviving long enough to deserve a walking bunker. These suits trade speed for staying power, with shield generators and massive pauldrons that turn incoming fire into someone else’s problem.
These new Cataphractii Terminators come in two configurations:
The first build is a unit of six plastic Terminators armed with power mauls and volkite chargers. That loadout is great for cracking lighter infantry and bullying regular power-armoured Marines. One model can take a reaper autocannon for extra bite at range.
The second build uses the same six bodies, geared with combi-bolters and power fists. The fist is slow, mean, and famous for turning even other Terminators into scrap. One model can swap the combi-bolter for a heavy flamer.
Each unit of six comes with two shoulder pad options per Marine, one with more trim and one with less, plus the choice to add or skip the tilting plate accessory. The Sergeant can take a power sword, power axe, or thunder hammer, with a choice of three crests.
Breacher Squad
When the job is clearing tight corridors inside a void craft, regular toughness is not enough, and Breachers get the call. This kit builds ten Space Marines with heavy boarding shields, one-handed bolters, and a pile of extra bits for customising the squad.
It includes a graviton gun, a lascutter, and everything needed to build a Sergeant who looks like he has already judged your life choices.
Breacher Squad Upgrade Set
For hobbyists with spare bodies ready to go, or anyone wanting boarding shields on MkII and MkVI Marines, the upgrade sprue brings the key Breacher parts without the full box. It includes enough shields, arms, and weapons to build a ten-model squad.
New Black Library Pre-Order Releases
The latest Black Library pre-order titles are here; they’re hotter than a Salamander’s forge! So if you’re into far-future battles, mysterious quests, or tales of heroism, there’s probably something here for you.
Apostle
Apostle is a new novel by David Annandale, up for pre-order in hardback, eBook, and MP3 audiobook editions.
Death of Integrity
The Space Marine Battles classic Death of Integrity by Guy Haley is up for pre-order in a new MP3 audiobook edition.
Final Thoughts On: 40k Chaos Battleforces & Horus Heresy Pre-Orders
So that’s the haul: four Chaos battleforce pre-orders that each pick a lane and floor it, two Warhammer Old World kits for anyone who likes their bad decisions mounted, and a pair of Heresy Marines that show up dressed for cramped corridors and very loud arguments. Toss in two Black Library picks, and the week’s shopping list suddenly looks like it has teeth.
Pick the box that matches how you like to cause problems, clear a shelf, and maybe start practicing your “I definitely needed this” speech for the next time someone asks why another big carton showed up at the door.
