New 40k Chaos Battleforces, Horus Heresy, Old World Releases Available Now

Here’s the pricing and lineup of new Warhammer releases featuring four 40k Chaos Battleforces, Horus Heresy, and Old World, pre-orders, which are available in stores now.

Games Workshop January 31st pre-orders for Warhammer 40k, featuring the new Chaos Battleforces, plus a selection of Horus Heresy, Old World, and Black Library books, are here!

Here’s the full lineup, along with our thoughts on all the new products that have been released this week!

TL;DR
  • Four Chaos Battleforces hit at $250 US (also listed at $300 CAD, $420 AUD, £155, €200): Khorne Daemonkin, Sekhmet Coven, Vile Vectorium, and Lords of Excess
  • Old World repacks: Chaos Marauder Horsemen and Chaos Marauders are both $90 US
  • Horus Heresy repacks: Cataphractii Terminators ($69) and a Breacher Squad ($73.50), plus a Breacher Upgrade Set ($48.50)
  • Book drop: Apostle is up for pre-order at $30 US (formats include hardback, eBook, and audiobook).
  • Heads up, ANZ folks: everything except the books is delayed in Australia and New Zealand this week, so the Heresy/Old World items being repacks means older bundles might still be the better buy if you can find them.

Chaos needs shock cavalry, and the Northmen are happy to volunteer, mainly for the screaming and looting. This box gives ten plastic Marauder Horsemen that can run as one big unit or split into two groups of five, each with a Champion, musician, and standard bearer. Each group of five gets thirteen different heads, and every rider can take either a hand weapon and shield or a flail.

Chaos Marauders $90 (USA), $108 (Canada), $150 (Australia), £54.50 (UK), €70 (EU)

The northern hordes stay busy raiding the Old World’s borders, stacking trophies for the Dark Gods and leaving polite society to deal with the mess. This kit builds 20 plastic Marauders that can form one large unit or two smaller groups.

Each one can carry a hand weapon and shield, a great weapon, or a flail, and the box includes a Warriors of Chaos transfer sheet containing 246 decals.

New pre-orders are here for The Horus Heresy Age of Darkness, bringing a tidal wave of excitement for all 30k players out there!

Don’t forget, you can still get these units in the Siege Assault Battle Group that was released on January 10th, 2026.

Cataphractii Terminators (Mauls) $69 (USA), $83 (Canada), $117 (Australia), £42.50 (UK), €55 (EU)

Cataphractii TerminatorsBuy Yours Here

Veterans earn Cataphractii Tactical Dreadnought Armour by surviving long enough to deserve a walking bunker. These suits trade speed for staying power, with shield generators and massive pauldrons that turn incoming fire into someone else’s problem.

These new Cataphractii Terminators come in two configurations:

The first build is a unit of six plastic Terminators armed with power mauls and volkite chargers. That loadout is great for cracking lighter infantry and bullying regular power-armoured Marines. One model can take a reaper autocannon for extra bite at range.

Cataphractii Terminators (Fists) $69 (USA), $83 (Canada), $117 (Australia), £42.50 (UK), €55 (EU)

The second build uses the same six bodies, geared with combi-bolters and power fists. The fist is slow, mean, and famous for turning even other Terminators into scrap. One model can swap the combi-bolter for a heavy flamer.

Each unit of six comes with two shoulder pad options per Marine, one with more trim and one with less, plus the choice to add or skip the tilting plate accessory. The Sergeant can take a power sword, power axe, or thunder hammer, with a choice of three crests.

Breacher Squad $73.50 (USA), $88 (Canada), $125 (Australia), £44.50 (UK), €57.50 (EU)

Breacher SquadBuy Yours Here

When the job is clearing tight corridors inside a void craft, regular toughness is not enough, and Breachers get the call. This kit builds ten Space Marines with heavy boarding shields, one-handed bolters, and a pile of extra bits for customising the squad.

It includes a graviton gun, a lascutter, and everything needed to build a Sergeant who looks like he has already judged your life choices.

Breacher Squad Upgrade Set $48.50 (USA), $58 (Canada), $81 (Australia), £30 (UK), €38.50 (EU)

For hobbyists with spare bodies ready to go, or anyone wanting boarding shields on MkII and MkVI Marines, the upgrade sprue brings the key Breacher parts without the full box. It includes enough shields, arms, and weapons to build a ten-model squad.

new next week old world marauder and chaos battleforces

Toss in two Black Library picks, and the week’s shopping list suddenly looks like it has teeth.

Pick the box that matches how you like to cause problems, clear a shelf, and maybe start practicing your “I definitely needed this” speech for the next time someone asks why another big carton showed up at the door.
