GW skipped a week of pre-orders, and the hobby instantly went sideways. Here’s what broke, what surprised everyone, and why Chaos always wins.
Games Workshop revealed there are no new pre-orders again this week as they have suspended new Warhammer products until December 27th, 2025.
That said, there are plenty of other products available to order for the holidays. Here’s the full lineup, along with our thoughts on the products returning to shelves this week!
Another Week of GW’s Rollercoaster Pre-Orders…
Updated on December 19th, 2025, by Rob Baer with pricing equivalencies in local currencies. The Order window starts on some products at 5 pm EST on Friday in New Zealand and moves west to each time zone accordingly.
Last time GW did a “break week” was on May 3rd, 2025, which set pre-orders back two weeks from the Sunday Teaser.
This time, however, the suspension of pre-orders until the 27th of December is because GW’s warehouses around the world will be closed for the holidays. If you’re still waiting on something else to hit pre-order, though, be sure to check out the latest new release lineup in our updated Warhammer Roadmap for 2026.
GW’s Pre-Order Math Is Not Mathing
Games Workshop pulled the rug out from under stores again with another one-day pre-order scramble, this time for a full wave of Maggotkin of Nurgle goodies scheduled for 2026.
Retailers were asked to guess demand with almost no warning, which is a great way to stress test an LGS and not much else.
If you want any of these boxes, you pretty much have to tell your store now, since the actual pre-order date is still a ways off. It is a wild setup that leaves shops guessing and fans hoping they called dibs early enough.
