Is it Worth It?

What to Buy Next?
Well, you have a lot of the heavy and fast hitters with this box, but you still need a lot of infantry, and some tanks to give the fire support the Guard needs. Now, while this box is a great starting point, it is only 300-ish points, meaning you’ll still have the vast majority of your army to collect.
So, whether you want more Rough Riders, tanks, or infantry, you’ll have to get a lot. But you can never go wrong in Warhammer 40,000 with tanks and infantry for Astra Militarum.
OOP 2023 Version:
The Out of Print (OOP) 2023 Imperial Guard Combat Patrol box was the Emperor’s little gift to new players. Released on February 25th, 2023, this set was packed to the brim with 28 models.
The box included a pretty great collection of miniatures with plenty of firepower, and was on the higher end of the value of the old boxes, and is about $20 more than the new box.
At a $168 price tag and an MSRP value of $252, it provided approximately $84.50 in savings, assuming you actually needed everything in the box.
