Today’s new Warhammer Rumor Engine preview looks like GW might be updating the Tau Broadside, with a brand new Railgun style.
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.
Let’s take a look and try to guess until then!
New Warhammer Rumor Engine Preview: October 27th, 2026
If you ask us, this looks a lot like a Tau Railgun, and the Broadside is really old compared to the rest of the battlesuit range.
There are rumors that Tau will get one of the first codexes in 2027, and a new Broadside would be a great centerpiece to launch with the book. The old model doesn’t have the gap in the gun as much, but it would make sense that when they update it, the size increases somewhat.
But it’s hard to say either way for sure.
