Is This Worth It?
The value based on the Cadian army box is similar, as that was $129 compared to a max of $110 here. So, at a retail price of $200 for this Strike Force, it has decent value, as all the units inside may end up being pretty pricey when they release separately. However, they are all (minus the Heavy Intercessors) new releases.
This is more of an auxiliary box, meaning it will be better for more veteran players to add minis to their collection. If you’re looking to get started with Space Marines, we’d recommend just going with the regular Combat Patrol box.
Again, though, this will have all three of the Warhammer Community reveals from LVO 2023 for Space Marines, and it will probably be three weeks to a couple of months before the models come out on their own. So, it will have some intrinsic value on launch, and with the $100 or so in value, you basically get the new dread totally for free!
How Many Points Is It?
This box is somewhere around 700-750 points. But, as you know, the tides of the Grimdark universe are ever-shifting, and with the latest points updates, that number could quickly fluctuate.

What to Buy Next?
This box gets you a ton of heavy firepower, but not much else! However, it does rack up over 700 points, so you have a solid shooting foundation to build on.
You’ll want some more combat options, like jump pack Marines and more Dreads. Then, you’ll need some speed to get around the board and tank support. You don’t want to go into battle without any tanks!
Lastly, the Space Marines have access to tons of characters, so load up on some more HQ choices to really round out the list.
Final Thoughts on Strike Force Agastus
Alright, that’s Strike Force Agasuts boxed up and ready for warp travel. If you’re looking to bulk out your heavy support, snag that shiny new Brutalis, or just make your wallet feel clever, this box delivers the goods. But if your shelf already looks like a Space Marines reunion, you might be better off waiting for single releases—or maybe just building a small shrine to Angron and calling it a day.
