New Horus Heresy Battle Groups Bring Double Trouble
Space Marines and the Mechanicum are back at it with two shiny new Battle Groups that scream “your backlog just got bigger.”
The Siege Assault box drops a full breach team of Cataphractii Terminators, Breachers, and a Leviathan Dreadnought ready to turn fortresses into dust, while the Skitarii Battle Group brings augmented zealots and a plastic Vultarax to the field for some serious Mars-style mayhem.

Plastic Breachers On the Way
And yes, plastic Breachers are finally inbound on the Horus Heresy roadmap! These shield-wielding tanks are perfect for Zone Mortalis brawls and trench-line showdowns. Fans have been begging for these, and now they’ll be available inside the Battlegroup first, then as a standalone release at some point.
Angron Transfigured & Lotara
Angron, now a fully warped instrument of the Blood God, and Lotara Sarrin, the iron-willed captain of The Conqueror, are stepping onto the battlefield in stunning new Forge World miniatures soon.

July 26th, 2025, is when the Saturnine Box and its rulebook-toting reinforcements officially arrived with new units, updated rules, and enough lore to make a remembrancer weep.

Warhammer 40k Horus Heresy Roadmap
We’re getting new digital rules in 2025 that cover just about every flavor of carnage from the Age of Darkness.

WCW Previews A Bunch of New Releases
The Age of Darkness just got a serious upgrade, and it’s not for the faint of heart, or the lightly armored. Between hulking Saturnine Terminators, rolling fortresses, and enough firepower to make a Titan flinch, these new Legions Imperialis battle groups are here to remind everyone who the real heavy hitters are.
Saturnine Battle Group
The heavy hitters have arrived, and this bundle is basically Vulkan’s dream team of destruction. Inside you’ll find:
- 2 Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre sets with a total of 12 Terminator squads, 4 Command squads, and 8 Saturnine Dreadnoughts ready to melt anything in sight.
- 1 Araknae Weapons Platform set with 8 platforms that can be armed with quad autocannons, punisher cannons, or frag missile batteries.
- 8 Vindicator Siege Tanks, 2 Mastodon Super-heavy Transports, and 2 Fire Raptors for when subtlety’s not on the menu.
- Plus transfer sheets for vehicles and aircraft because grimdark armor deserves proper heraldry.
Legiones Astartes Combined Arms Battle Group
The Space Marines’ answer to “what if we just took everything?” You get infantry, tanks, Dreadnoughts, and flyers for a fully loaded strike force:

It’s the perfect mix of “we’re only human” and “we brought tanks anyway.”
Everything Else in the Drop
- Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre: Vulkan’s prototype Terminators and Dreadnoughts, built for breaking sieges and egos.
- Araknae Weapons Platforms: Tough little walkers with a 5+ invulnerable save and multiple gun loadouts.
- Legion Super-heavy Tanks: Falchion, Ascalon, Fellblade, and Glaive variants, all with Titan-grade firepower and extra sponson choices.
- Journal Strategia: The Ruin of the Salamanders: A 48-page campaign book diving back into Isstvan V, complete with new Formations and missions to retell (or rewrite) the Salamanders’ tragic fall.
In short, if it’s big, armored, or explodes gloriously, it’s probably in this preview.
New Combat Forces: October 18th, 2025 Releases
These Combat Forces aren’t just boxes of plastic; they’re ready-made warbands that practically set up the table for you. Whether it’s power-armored elites, mechanical nightmares, or an ocean of Solar Auxilia infantry rolling with tank support, each set feels like a complete ticket to the Heresy.
