Peacock is turning the Twisted Metal video game into a TV series, and they just dropped the first trailer, complete with Sweet Tooth!
If you have ever played the game, you know just how ridiculous it can be, and from the looks of it, they might be actually capturing that feel. The series is set to premiere on July 27th, but this is the first live-action look we’ve seen!
The series has some pretty huge stars at the helm, including Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Neve Campbell, Will Arnett, and many others.
The series will take place with Anthony Mackie trying to deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with all manner of villains, including the infamous Sweet Tooth!

The trailer opens with John Doe getting ready for action as he revs his car and loads up the shotgun!
As we said, it looks like they are really leaning into the game and not making this for everyone. The game has so many iconic characters, and just from the trailer, you can tell they are catering to the people who played the game or anyone who likes over-the-top shows!
He pops in Steal MySunshine before taking off, and the insanity really starts.
The car looks pretty dope and should make for some insane car scenes. With no new video games since 2012, it will be interesting to see what kind of attention this will garner and how many people who played the games still are into it.
The trailer ends with the first images of Sweet Tooth, and he looks pretty intense!
