Players Upset The Rogal Dorn Tank Missing It’s Bottom

rogal-dorn-no-bottom-floor-bottomless-imperial-guardGamers are a little upset that the Rogal Dorn Tank is missing its bottom, and some of the community responses have been quite hilarious.

We’ll say when you buy a kit that is $90, and it doesn’t even have a bottom to it, well, that’s a little disappointing, to say the least! Other than that, the tank is actually pretty cool; it’s just very odd to see that the response to the thank has been less than positive since content creators posted their videos online

Well, here you have it, the bottom of the tank is basically empty! As you can see from the product page on Games Workshop’s site, the kit is only three very tightly packed sprues.

So, it seems like something had to go to make it fit on that number of sprues for the $90 price point (for comparison, the Baneblade is $170 for nine sprues).  If you really wanted to, it probably wouldn’t be a huge issue to convert your own piece up, but if you’re spending this much on a plastic model, it seems like hobbyists want it to have a bottom!

Again, not the biggest issue ever because you basically never see the bottom of the tank while you’re playing.

Overall, the rest of the tank looks good, but for now, let’s see how the community has reacted!

Community Reactions

As we said, this really isn’t the biggest deal ever; it just feels bad to spend nearly $100 and not get a full model. But if it really is a deal-breaker, you can always make your own bottom piece,  find an alternative file to print, or full model.

You can also just use the Forge World Marcharius tank if you have one before all the price increases over the years.

There are already a few retailers out there making bottoms for the tank, which look great. Obviously, you can just make your own out of plasticard, but if you don’t feel like that, you can pick up these products to convert your own bottom.

Check out the video below for how to build and magnetize your own Rogal Dorn Tank.

Do you care that the bottom of the tank is missing?
