The 40k Christmas Box for Blood Angels, the Angelus Assault Force, is here, and if you’re thinking about buying the battleforce, we break down the models, value, and who it’s for.
The rumors were right on the money, and the Blood Angels just pulled a Christmas Battleforce box out of the sky that hinges on jump packs, jump packs, and more jump packs.
We’re going to break down what’s actually inside the Battleforce: Blood Angels Angelus Assault Force, what it’s likely to cost, when pre-orders may land, and whether the value is real (especially since this one looks a little bare compared to most of the other boxes we’ve seen).
- What’s in the Battleforce: Blood Angels Angelus Assault Force: one Commander Dante, one Blood Angels Chaplain with Jump Pack, one Death Company Brutalis Dreadnought, three Sanguinary Guard, five Death Company Marines with Jump Packs, and a Blood Angels Upgrade Frame.
- Value is a little underwhelming: itemized MSRP comes out to about $345.50, putting savings at roughly $75 versus the estimated $265 box price, with nearly half the savings coming from the upgrade sprue.
- Tabletop take: just 11 miniatures, with plenty of jump pack mobility and melee punch, but not many bodies to hold objectives.
- Pricing: Assumed to be the new price increase amount of $265 for Battleforces.
- Release Date: TBD, but usually either goes on pre-order or hits store shelves on Black Friday, which could be on or around Nov 27th, 2026.

Blood Angels 40k Christmas Box Values & Pricing
The Blood Angels Angelus Assault Force Battleforce is focused on jump packs, golden-armored elites, Death Company Marines ready to lose their minds, and Commander Dante dropping in like he’s personally offended by everything still breathing on the battlefield.
Between Commander Dante, a Chaplain with Jump Pack, Death Company Brutalis Dreadnought, three Sanguinary Guard, five Death Company Marines with Jump Packs, and a Blood Angels Upgrade Frame, this box feels like GW decided the sons of Sanguinius don’t need a massive army when they can just fall out of the sky and start tearing things apart.

Is This Blood Angels Box Worth It?
Well, you’re getting around $75 in savings with the Blood Angels Angelus Assault Force. That’s a little on the low side for a Christmas Battleforce, especially when you realize nearly half that value comes from the upgrade sprue.
With just 11 miniatures in the box, this doesn’t exactly feel like the massive haul we’re used to seeing from GW with these boxes. Sure, all the kits are expensive on their own, but that doesn’t make the model count any less disappointing.
So, if you need every model for your Blood Angels army, there’s still plenty of money to save compared to buying everything separately. However, with so few minis, if there’s a single kit you don’t need inside, this is a box you pass on.
How Many Points Is This?
We would guess the Battleforce Blood Angels points are somewhere around 645.
What to Buy Next?
If you want this Blood Angels Angelus Assault Force Battleforce to feel like a proper army instead of 11 very expensive models dropping out of the sky and hoping for the best, start with some Assault Intercessors or regular Intercessors so you’ve got enough bodies to hold objectives while your jump pack troops get busy tearing things apart.
After that, another squad of Jump Pack Intercessors or Death Company Marines gives you more fast-moving threats, because Commander Dante and three Sanguinary Guard can only punch so many things before the rest of your army needs to pitch in.
Finally, add a Gladiator Lancer, Ballistus Dreadnought, or some other reliable anti-tank firepower, depending on what your army needs, so your Brutalis isn’t stuck chasing enemy armor across the battlefield while the rest of your Blood Angels try to solve every problem with a chainsword.
Final Thoughts on the Blood Angels Angelus Assault Force Christmas Box
At the end of the day, the new Blood Angels Angelus Assault Force Christmas Box is a decent buy for anyone who needs everything in the box. You’re getting some hard-hitting units with Commander Dante, Sanguinary Guard, Death Company Marines, and a Brutalis Dreadnought, but 11 miniatures doesn’t exactly scream Christmas Battleforce.
Just keep the big caveat in mind: the $75 in savings is already a little low for a Battleforce, and nearly half of that comes from the Blood Angels Upgrade Frame. With so few models, even one kit you don’t need can seriously eat into the value. If you’re starting a Blood Angels army or need every unit here, it’s still a solid way to save some cash, but anyone looking for a massive holiday haul might find this Blood Angels Battleforce disappointing.
