Wherever the fighting is the thickest is where you’ll see the Imagifiers, holding the banner high and rallying Sisters everywhere!
Who cares that stand bearers have the shortest life span on the battlefield? This is a huge honor and when they raise the flag high, every Sister in the area goes crazy, because flags are cool! Get out the standard of your house and let’s learn about some Imagifier lore.
A Sacred Role
Everything is sacred to the Sisters of Battle, so why should their standard-bearer be any different? We bet every candle they light actually means something, and they know what they all mean! Anyways… The Imagifier shows the lost virtue of every fallen Sister from the legion. While they preach beneath their impressive standards they are so blessed sometimes they even take on the spirit of martyred warriors. When this happens the Imgifier starts to preach and remember the lives of Sisters they never knew. Just another amazing act of faith they can perform in the name of the Emperor.
Just seeing an Imagifier can be a truly religious experience for her fellow Sisters. Even in the heat of battle with the denizens of Chaos, they will be brought to tears by the magnificence they are witnessing. They must train their voice boxes day and night because they can be heard loud and clear over the din of gunfire. Maybe moms and the Sisters train at the same place… It is every Sister’s dream to die at the hands of the enemies of the Imperium so maybe one day an Imagifier may also call out their prayers once again.
Deployed Where the Fighting is the Thickest
Probably due to the life span of someone holding a banner high in the air, each Order has multiple Imagifiers on hand. Wherever the Sisters are in the direst need of faith, the Imagifiers are deployed. If a war is becoming drawn out and deadly, the Order will send an Imagifier. Such is the faith that they inspire, just the presence of one could turn the tide of an entire planetary war. They are attached directly to the ranking Cannoness and turn her already incredible authority into an unshakable faith.
They don’t just chant litanies and prayers either, they are highly trained warriors who can easily gun down hundreds of heretics or Xenos (but we doubt they can actually beat Wyches in CC like the cover art would have you believe…). This is not a fluke either, they are often the best trained and most faithful of Sisters. You don’t get to carry the standard by being a scrub!
