GW Reveals New World Eaters Sprues & Combat Patrol!

new world eaters chaos codex space marinesGW just revealed the World Eaters Lord on Juggernaut sprues, along with a bit of a surprise, a new Combat Patrol box!

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen new reveals for the upcoming World Eaters release, so it’s nice to see something new, at least! From the looks of it, we still have to wait for the Imperial Guard stuff to drop before they come out, but let’s hope it’s soon with this reveal!

The Juggernaut sprue looks like it has a few variations for riders, and when the kit is probably going to be at a premium, it’s nice to have some options!

Warhammer Community revealed the new sprue pics for the World Eaters Lord on Juggernaut and Lord Invocatus.

World Eaters Lord on Juggernaut

It’s been said that the World Eaters have a bit of a one-track mind, but that doesn’t mean the Lord’s excellent new model is barren of choices. First and foremost, you can build the entire thing as the vicious Lord Invocatus – one of Angron’s most ambitious war-leaders.

This is a pretty sweet miniature, and it’s always nice to have options when building it! Plus, from the rules rumors we’ve heard this guy may be an auto-include in most World Eaters lists!

You’ll also get plenty of pieces to customise your own headtaker-in-chief, including a choice of two different exalted chainblades, and two heads each for the Lord and his sanguinary steed. Though you could just decide to pinch the awesome chainsword-horn from Lord Invocatus’ mount Khal’guruth, instead…

Both rider/mount options look good, and we’ll have to see how many different poses you really can build.

If that looks like a package you’d like to sink your teeth into, you’ll be glad to know that the whole kit comes as part of the upcoming Combat Patrol: World Eaters. This bundle of murderous fun is the perfect way to start a new World Eaters army, filled with nothing but brand-new kits and more chain weapons than you could shake a pathetic, chainless stick at (roughly 45).

This has a decent number of bits; let’s just hope the upgraded kit doesn’t mean too crazy of a price! From the looks of it, you probably don’t have to glue the rider down to paint, which is pretty nice.

World Eaters Combat Patrol

While Chaos Space Marines are limited to a single Chaos Lord per Detachment, the World Eaters aren’t subject to such petty jealousy. They can field as many beast-bound Lords as their HQ slots allow, meaning you can muster the complete contents of two Combat Patrols – all without needing to spend any Command points on the new Heroic Support Stratagem.

This looks like a decent Combat Patrol, with plenty of troops and just a lot of minis. So, it should be a pretty good pickup for new players getting into the faction! Plus, they say this will be available in just a few weeks, so let’s hope that means three maximum and not more!
