FLG terrain’s new Dakka City MEGA Bundle packs a 40k Ork city, a Scrapyard mat and 16 matching 11th Edition bases into one $349 box. thier
Ork players are getting plenty of attention in 11th Edition, but if your 40k terrain looks a little too Imperial, Frontline Gaming’s Dakka City feels like it belongs right in the middle of a proper WAAAGH! We’re talking full-color scrap towers, extra bits to customize the buildings, and matching terrain bases and a gaming mat to bring the whole table together.
But luckily, FLG didn’t just drop one option and call it a day. They have three ways to grab the new Dakka City terrain, including a $349 MEGA Bundle that actually costs less than buying everything separately. So what’s in the box, how much are you saving, and which option makes the most sense for your table?

Which Dakka City option makes sense really comes down to what you’ve already got. Are you starting with an empty table? The bundle has you covered. Already have a gaming mat you like? Just grab the terrain and skip buying another one.
Or maybe you’ve already got plenty of terrain, but you keep having the same argument about where the ruins actually end, that’s where the $55 Scrapyard bases come in. They also use the same scrapyard print as the buildings, so you can start with the bases and add the terrain later without everything looking mismatched.
Dakka City MEGA Terrain Bundle: $349
Here’s the whole setup in this bundle: the Premium Series Dakka City terrain, a 44″ x 60″ Scrapyard neoprene mat, and all 16 Scrapyard MDF bases. It comes unassembled, though, so you’ll want to set aside a build night or two before getting a game in.
The Bundle Beats Every Other Way to Buy Dakka City
Buy everything separately from FLG, and you’re looking at $382.95. The bundle brings that down to $349, saving you $33.95. Not bad, especially when that’s money you could put toward glue or a few more boyz.
If you just buy the full color MDF terrain bundle, you’re already spending $289. Add the $78.95 Scrapyard mat, and suddenly you’re paying $367.95. So even compared to the smaller bundle, this still saves you a decent amount.
Plus, if you’ve already got a 44″ x 60″ mat you love, though, the $289 terrain-and-bases option makes more sense. That’s because the base upgrade is only $40 there, compared to buying the separate Scrapyard base set for $55.
FLG Full Color Premium Terrain: Dakka City $249 – $289
The price depends on which version you grab: $249 for terrain only, $279 with 11th Edition acrylic bases, or $289 with 11th Edition full color MDF bases.
FLG calls this its Premium Series, and you’re getting nearly twice the material of its standard MDF sets, along with extra pieces to customize the buildings Just remember that none of these three options includes a gaming mat, so you’ll need to pick up the $78.95 Scrapyard mat separately if you want that matching setup.
Double the MDF, Double the Detail
FLG’s full color terrain sets already look painted when you put them on the table, so what are you getting for the Premium price? Mostly more stuff to build with. Nearly double the material means extra layers and more bits you can stick onto those scrap towers.
And really, that’s pretty fitting for Orks. Would you expect every tower in a Mek’s scrapyard to look identical? Probably not. With the extra customization pieces, you can make each building a little different instead of building the same thing over and over from the box art.
Either way, if you’ve got FLG’s older pre-painted Orc terrain set, you’ll definitely recognize the style. The big difference this time is that the footprints are already set up for 11th Edition.
FLG Terrain: 11th Full Color Terrain Bases – Scrapyard: $55
Lastly for $55, you get 16 precision-cut MDF bases: four 11.5″ x 7″, two 8″ x 11.5″ triangles, four 6″ x 4″, two 10″ x 2.5″, and four 6″ x 2″. They’re sized to match the recommended 11th Edition terrain footprints, which should make those pre-game arguments about where a ruin ends a whole lot easier.
Final Thoughts on the FLG Terrain Dakka City Bundle
Starting an Ork table from scratch? The bundle should get you a good-looking battlefield after a weekend with some glue and clamps. Just keep in mind that it’s made to order, which only adds three business days before shipping. But, if you’re planning to use it for holiday games, you’ll probably want to order sooner rather than later.
FLG did run a Black Friday deal on its Tournament Terrain last November, so we’ll see if Dakka City gets something similar. But you’re already saving $33.95 with the bundle, and there’s no guarantee waiting another month will get you a better deal.
