The Orruk Warclans: Grunta Stampede is their 2026 AoS Christmas Box, and if you’re thinking about buying the battleforce, we break down the models, value, and who it’s for.
GW just revealed the AoS Christmas Battleforces for 2026, and the Ironjawz got a Battleforce box that hinges on pigs, big pigs, and even bigger pigs.
Ironjawz are tough to stop when they’re on the move. Put them on the back of a Grunta, and they turn into wrecking balls, and that’s what this box is all about. So we’re breaking down what’s actually inside the Orruk Warclans Grunta Stampede, what it’s likely to cost, when pre-orders may land, and whether the value holds up.
- What’s in the Orruk Warclans: Grunta Stampede: one Tuskboss on Maw-Grunta, one Maw-Grunta Gouger, and six Gore-Gruntas. Both big pigs can also be built as either of the other Maw-Grunta options, including the Maw-Grunta with Hakkin’ Krew.
- Value is decent, but model count isn’t: itemized MSRP comes out to $366, putting savings at about $101 versus the estimated $265 box price.
- Tabletop take: just 8 models, every one of them cavalry that wants to charge, with nothing in the box built to sit on an objective.
- Pricing: Assumed to be the new Battleforce price of $265.
- Release Date: TBD, but these boxes usually go on pre-order or hit shelves on Black Friday, which could be on or around Nov 27th, 2026.

Orruk Warclans Grunta Stampede Values & Pricing
The Grunta Stampede is focused on one thing: Ironjawz big ‘uns on bigger pigs, smashing into whatever’s closest. Two Maw-Gruntas are your hammers, and the (relatively) smaller Gore-Grunta cavalry comes stampeding in right behind them.
That’s a box that knows exactly what it is about. Every kit inside is a grunta, and if you’ve read our Ironjawz Faction Pack review, you already know how much of this army’s punch lives on the back of these hogs.

Is This Orruk Warclans Box Worth It?
Well, you’re getting about $101 in savings with the Orruk Warclans Grunta Stampede, and that’s a pretty solid number for a Christmas Battleforce. Nothing in here is padding the value either, since all three kits are full-price plastic you’d actually field.
The catch is the model count here for sure. Eight miniatures is the smallest haul of the six AoS Christmas boxes this year, and it’s the lowest points total too. Sure, the Maw-Gruntas are huge, expensive kits on their own. But eight models still looks thin sitting on the kitchen table next to the other boxes.
So if you were already planning to buy a couple of Maw-Gruntas and two boxes of Gore-Gruntas, this is an easy call. If you only want half of it, the savings vanish fast, and you’re better off picking up the kits one at a time.
How Many Points Is This?
We’d guess the Orruk Warclans Grunta Stampede points come out somewhere around 790.
What to Buy Next?
If you want the Grunta Stampede to feel like a full army instead of 8 angry pigs charging off the board edge and hoping for the best, start with some Ardboys or Brutes. Somebody has to stand on objectives while the cavalry goes looking for a fight, and the box doesn’t give you anyone for that job.
After that, a Megaboss or Weirdnob Shaman gives the army a leader on foot and some magic, because a Tuskboss can only shout at so many orruks from the back of a pig.
Finally, keep an eye on the newer Ironjawz kits or another box of Gore-Gruntas, depending on whether you want more bodies or more hammer. Either way, the pigs can’t win the game by themselves.
Final Thoughts on the Orruk Warclans Grunta Stampede Christmas Box
The Orruk Warclans Grunta Stampede is the box for Ironjawz players who already know that they want to go ham (get it?). Every kit in it pulls its literal weight on the table, and $101 in savings is nothing to sneeze at either for a box.
Just keep the big caveat in mind: the price is still an estimate, and eight models is a small pile for a Christmas Battleforce. Once GW confirms the real price, we’ll know whether this one’s a must-grab or a pass. If you’re building a grunta-heavy list or starting an Orruk army that hits like a falling Gargant, this is still a good way to save some cash.
