Is it Worth It?
This basically gets you one of the units for free, so if you need everything inside, this is a decent pickup. While it’s not the highest value we’ve seen in a box, it is a good starting force. It gets you a lot of the core units, and with how expensive each unit is in points, the value seems higher when compared to something like Orks!
On the flip side, their previous Combat Patrol box had $80 worth of value compared to the $60 in the new one for 2024, so if you are looking for any of those units, you may still be able to track down that box online.
How Many Points Is This?
So, you’re wondering how many points the Adeptus Custodes Combat Patrol box racks up, eh? Well, in Warhammer 40k 10th edition, this box hits with about a whopping 800 points.

What to Buy Next?
As we said, this is a starter force with a little bit of most of the core units. However, you’ll need more Guardians, maybe some Sisters of Silence for cheap units, and then some bikes and vehicles to speed up on the battlefield!
This is a good starting point for an army, but you really need to start adding units to move across the board and achieve your objectives. Of course, you’ll also want some more characters!
Honestly, the new Auric Champions Battleforce would not be a bad pickup at all if it were paired with this Combat Patrol Box.
OOP 2022 Version:
The Out of Print (OOP) 2022 Adeptus Custodes Combat Patrol box was the Emperor’s little gift to new players. Released in January 2022, this set was packed to the brim with 18 models.
It was a bit of a strange box, as the Sisters of Silence made up most of the value of the box. Still, if you needed them, this was a great pickup.
At a $168 price tag and an MSRP value of $245, it gave you about $77 in savings, assuming you actually needed everything in the box.
