Here’s the new AoS Sylvaneth Strongroot Grove Battleforce box contents, release date, rules, value, and retail price in our breakdown review!

Sylvaneth just got a new battleforce, and Strongroot Grove is basically a pre-packed excuse to bring the giant trees to life.

We’re going to break down what’s actually in the box, when it’s dropping, what it means for how Sylvaneth play on the table, and the big question every tree-hugging warlord asks while side-eyeing their growing pile of bark: is it worth the cash?

Sylvaneth Battleforce: Strongroot Grove

TL;DR
  • Strongroot Grove’s release date is still TBD
  • Big trees everywhere: This box is all about the giant trees and putting them on the table.
  • Value is a big flex: about $376 in kits for $250, so roughly $126 saved if you need most of it.
  • Points guess: ~1,050, and the obvious next buys are small bodies for objectives.

Strongroot Grove Battleforce Review

sylvaneth treelord ancientThe Sylventh Battleforce Strongroot Grove isn’t just a pile of plastic; it’s a pre-built problem you can drop on the table and start handing out forest-flavored justice right away. This battleforce leans hard into “oops, all big trees,” with three Treelords leading the charge and making it painfully clear that your opponent is about to get introduced to the business end of a living oak.

And then you’ve got the Kurnoth Hunters backing them up, because Sylvaneth doesn’t do “subtle.” They do “here’s a wall of bark and rage,” followed by a polite reminder that yes, every one of those giant kits can be built different ways, so you can tailor the treelord party to whatever brand of table bullying you’re in the mood for.

Is The Strongroot Grove Battleforce Worth It?

kurnoth huntersStrongroot Grove Battleforce is absolutely worth it if you want this faction to hit the table as a wall of big, angry trees backed by Kurnoth muscle. With $126 in value, you’re getting a serious discount on the exact kits most people want for a “core” Sylvaneth build.

The triple Treelord setup also gives you real flexibility since each one can be built as a Treelord, Treelord Ancient, or Spirit of Durthu, depending on what you need. The only time this is a pass is if you want lots of small bodies and unit variety, because this box is unapologetically a treelord party.

How Many Points Is This?

We would guess the Sylvaneth battleforce points are somewhere around 1050

What to Buy Next?

Sylvaneth DryadsIf you grab Strongroot Grove, the next move is usually leaning into what the box already does best: more Kurnoth Hunters for consistent pressure, or another big tree kit if you want to fully commit to the “welcome to the lumber yard” game plan. You will also want to add some cheaper bodies and objective pieces, because three Treelords and a handful of Hunters is a fantastic threat package, but it is not exactly a board-flooding lifestyle.

If you can still find the Outcast Spitegrove Box, that would make a great addition to pair with this box.

After that, start layering in the utility stuff that makes Sylvaneth lists feel unfair in a fun way, depending on whether you want more raw punch, more mobility tricks, or more control and scoring tools.

Final Thoughts from us on the Strongroot Grove Battleforce

Spirit of DurthuAt the end of the day, Strongroot Grove is Sylvaneth with the dial cranked all the way up: three big trees, a squad of Kurnoth Hunters, and zero interest in playing small ball. It’s a clean, brutal starting point, and it also slots neatly into existing collections if you have been itching to run more Treelords without selling a kidney.

If your idea of a good time is watching your opponent try to solve a moving forest that punches back, this battleforce is basically your permission slip. Just do not be surprised when the first thing you hear across the table is, “Wait… how many Treelords is that?”
