AdeptiCon 2026 had players from all over the country stop in and show off their most beautifully painted armies. On the Doubles side, they put in a ton of work and made some awesome armies for the Long War Doubles 40k tournament!
Custom Chaos Knights
These Knights were basically a masterclass in conversions. Nearly every model had something extra going on, the paint was ridiculously crisp, and the display board pushed the whole army over the top. The clean browns worked perfectly with the red and green accents, giving everything a sharp, polished finish.
Daemons Are a Girl’s Best Friend
This board threw the Sisters of Battle straight into a nightmare against Slaanesh Daemons, and it looked fantastic. Between the strong paint jobs, wild conversions, and a few Creature Caster daemons mixed in, there was plenty here to keep hobby fans staring for a while.
Imperial Agents in the Woods
This Imperial display had a little bit of everything you want from a loyalist force. Tons of troops, Knights, a flyer, characters, and enough visual variety to keep the board interesting from corner to corner. The blue color scheme played nicely with the display and really sold the massive scale of the Imperium.
Brutal and Kunnin
This Ork force leaned hard into everything that makes Orks great. There were loads of infantry, plenty of vehicles, big characters, and just the right amount of total chaos. The display board sealed the deal and made the whole army feel like it was one second away from kicking off a proper WAAAGH!
The Primarch Faceoff
This display already had a lot going for it, but the rotating board pushed it even further. At the top, Guilliman and Fulgrim were locked in an epic showdown while the battle raged below them in the coliseum. It had a huge centerpiece feel, and it definitely delivered.
Space Marines Vs Death Guard
This display absolutely sold the clash between order and decay. The Space Marines looked disciplined and locked in, while the Death Guard turned the lower levels of the board into a full-blown plague pit. It was a great visual contrast, and the whole thing told the story at a glance.
Prepping for War
This Ork display put the vehicles front and center on a multi-level red board, and it worked. Between the cranes, terrain, and all the little atmospheric touches, it felt like this army was gearing up for a full-on assault at any second.
Fire and Tomb Worlds
This fiery board matched Salamanders against Necrons and nailed the grimdark look. Flowing magma, glowing energy crystals, and a strong contrast between the two armies gave the whole setup a lot of character. It was one of those displays that felt alive even standing still.
Technicolor Tyranids
Ever wonder what Tyranids would look like after eating way too many Skittles? This board answered that question in style. These technicolor bugs showed up in force, and somehow the wild color palette still came together into something that looked cohesive, weird, and very cool.
Blood for the Blood God
Sometimes, simple just works, and this one absolutely did. A fortress packed with Khorne warriors, rivers of blood, and strong paintwork gave the whole board exactly the kind of savage energy you want from a Chaos display. It looked mean, direct, and completely on-brand.
Necrons Going in Hard
Last but definitely not least, this was the winning army from the event, and it earned that spotlight. Everything on the board had been repainted, the miniatures looked incredible, and the display itself was on another level. This one did not mess around.
