Save 15% on FLG Terrain, Mats, and Hobby Gear
Every qualifying purchase from this article helps Spikey Bits keep the lights on and the fun going. Updated on August 11th 2026, by Rob Baer with the new sale details.

FLG Full Color Terrain: Pyrewaste – 11th Edition: $199-$254
In this set, you’re getting a full table’s worth of MDF terrain here, built around the footprint templates used for 11th Edition. Two 9-by-2 tall walls give you the big line-of-sight blockers, six 3-by-2 wall sections cover the middle of the board, and four 6-by-1 walls fill out the linear-cover slots.

FLG Mats: Scorched Warzone: $18.95-$84.95

There are ten sizes, starting with a 24 by 14 skirmish mat and going up to an 8 by 4 tournament surface. The 44 by 60 size is included in the bundle, while the standalone 6-by-4 mat runs $84.95. Smaller sizes come down in price from there.
Put Pyrewaste on top, and the burnt MDF tones sit naturally against the mat instead of having the terrain and battlefield artwork fighting each other visually.
The Full Color MDF Set: $55

Plenty of games come down to whether a model is touching cover, inside a terrain feature, or sitting just outside it. Visible footprints make those calls easier before the table turns into a land-surveying exercise.

Here’s what comes in the full color MDF set:
- 4× 11.5″ × 7″ Full Color MDF Base
- 2× Triangle 8″ × 11.5″ Full Color MDF Base
- 4× 6″ × 4″ Full Color MDF Base
- 2× 10″ × 2.5″ Full Color MDF Base
- 4× 6″ × 2″ Full Color MDF Base
For clubs and tournament tables, that visibility is probably the biggest reason to use them. Players and judges can tell where the terrain boundaries are without stopping the game to sort it out once dice are already rolling.
Second Hand Minis Worth Splurging On
If you’ve been in the market for some new miniatures and like the idea of saving a buck, be sure to check out the Secondhand store to see if they have what you’re looking for! There are tons of used Warhammer models and miniatures to browse!
Harlequin Starweaver $32.00 $40.00
This Harlequin Starweaver is the show‑stopper transport for Aeldari fans. With dual shuriken cannons and mirage launchers, it delivers a wall of S6 shots, perfect for Death Jesters on board.
Custodian Wardens $40.00 $50.00
Custodian Wardens bring unbreakable presence to any Adeptus Custodes list. Your opponent will call them “absolute menace”, tough to wound on a 2+ and granting a 4+ Feel No Pain once a game.
Tyranid Psychophage $32.00 $40.00
The Leviathan Psychophage is a hulking Tyranid monstrosity straight out of the Hive Fleet Leviathan starter box.
Forgeworld Xiphon Interceptor $120 $150
The Forge World Xiphon Pattern Interceptor, painted in Ultramarines livery, screams speed and precision aeronautics. If you want aerial dominance with blue-and-gold style, this model flies above the rest.
Don’t ignore the other second‑hand mini deals too. There are probably ton of minis that fit armies you already own and can make a cheap entry point into a new faction.
Final Thoughts on the FLG Summer Sale
If you already had FLG terrain, mats, or table gear on your shopping list, the Beat the Heat Sale is probably the better time to grab it.
The 15% discount runs through August 14 and applies automatically, so there’s nothing extra to track down at checkout. So, for anyone building out an 11th Edition 40k table, the terrain and footprint options are probably the most useful buys here, especially if you want something ready for regular games without adding another pile of hobby work.
