GW revealed their latest Warhammer new releases featuring the Horus Heresy Angron Transfigured, Skitarii Battle Group, and more, hitting pre-order this week!
Games Workshop has just revealed its latest pre-orders this week for Warhammer Horus Heresy, featuring the new Angron Transfigured, Skitarii, LOTR, and a selection of MTO for Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar!
Here’s the full lineup, along with our thoughts on all the new products that are hitting pre-order this week!
New Warhammer Horus Heresy Pre-Order Releases
These products will be available for pre-order on Saturday, January 17th, around 1 p.m. EST in the States, with a shelf release date of Saturday, January 31st, 2026.
If you’re still waiting on something else to hit pre-order, though, be sure to check out the latest new release lineup in our updated Warhammer Roadmap for 2026.
Angron Transfigured Forge World Pre-Order
Almost a year after the first teaser, Games Workshop is finally putting Angron Transfigured on pre-order next week. The Daemon Primarch clearly takes longer to wrangle onto the table than Perturabo, and nobody is shocked.
This resin centrepiece shows the World Eaters’ Primarch mid-corruption during the Siege of Terra, complete with a scenic display base. It is built for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, and its rules live in Liber Hereticus.
It is a single-pose Forge World resin kit for experienced hobbyists.
Lotara Sarrin, Mistress of the Conqueror Pre-Order
Lotara Sarrin ran Angron’s flagship, the Conqueror, and managed to earn real authority inside a Legion that rarely handed it out to baseline humans. She brings steel-spined leadership, a sharp tongue, and battlefield support that can call down orbital strikes from her ship.
The model is a finely detailed resin character piece that fits neatly into a World Eaters force.
Skitarii Battle Group Pre-Order:
During the Horus Heresy, Skitarii served as the Fabricator General’s personal troops, roaming the galaxy to seize lost tech. The Schism of Mars split the Mechanicum, then the Skitarii split right along with it, trading shots for both the Emperor and the Warmaster.
Now they are getting a new boxed force for Horus Heresy armies: the Skitarii Battle Group. It packs eighteen new miniatures, playable as a full Skitarii army or slotted in as allies.
The box includes sixteen multi-part plastic Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms with voltlock arquebuses. They can run as two units of eight or one big block. Air support comes from a new plastic Vultarax Stratos-automata. Command falls to a Battle-Pilgrym Marshal with three head options, a left-hand pick between a voltlock handgun or archaeotech pistol, and a right-hand pick between a phase claw, corpusant stave, or auctorit sceptre.
Be sure to check out our breakdown article on the value in this box here.
Journal Tactica: Skitarii: The Steel Hand of Mars
A new 48-page softback Journal Tactica backs the release with rules and lore: Skitarii: The Steel Hand of Mars. It covers the new units from the Skitarii Battle Group, offers multiple army-building routes, and gets into how the conclaves operated during the Heresy.
It brings Relic Hunt Missions built for fast smash-and-grab games, plus a Legendary Mission that throws Skitarii Conclaves against Imperial Fists near the Vaults of Tharsis.
New Middle Earth Battle Strategy Game Pre-Order Releases
The latest Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game releases are almost here! Packed with stunning miniatures, powerful heroes, and enough tactical options to keep you strategizing for days, these pre-order goodies are the perfect way to kick off your next adventure in Tolkien’s legendary realm.
The Path of Cirith Ungol: Shelob and Gollum
Middle-earth fans get a fresh plastic set for the Strategy Battle Game: Shelob and Gollum, plus a webbed-up Frodo. Shelob dishes out paralysis, messy takedowns, and web-wrapping trouble. Gollum stays on brand, sneaking about and setting up betrayal with a grin that practically makes noise.
That webbed Frodo can work as an objective marker for the Bravery of Master Samwise scenario found in the Treachery of Gollum journal.
Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Journal: The Treachery of Gollum
The companion 48-page journal stacks on nine Narrative Scenarios and a linked campaign system. It rolls in new rules, hobby guides for painting Shelob and Gollum, and projects for terrain like webbed caverns, the Dead Marshes, and the sewers beneath Osgiliath.
Foot Knights of Dol Amroth
Gondor’s Swan Knights get Forge World resin reinforcements with a set of six miniatures: a Captain of Dol Amroth, a banner bearer, a war horn bearer, and three Knights with shields and hand weapons. The kit includes three copies of three shield designs, four optional unhelmeted heads, and rules in Armies of Middle-earth.
Cirith Ungol Dice Set
For players who want their Evil force to roll in style, the Cirith Ungol dice set brings eight smoky black dice with white pips and a spider icon on the six.
Store Special Order & Direct From Games Workshop
These models are exclusively available through special order at stores or directly from Games Workshop. This suggests that they may not anticipate high sales volumes, or perhaps the profit margins for these items are a bit tighter than usual. Regardless of the reason, GW seems to have a limited quantity available for this release!
Made to Order: Warriors of Chaos Miniatures
The Old World gets a classic throwback run for Warriors of Chaos. A Chaos Chariot returns, pulled by two armoured warhorses and cast across metal and plastic.
Joining it are a Chaos Lord on Chaos Steed in heavy armour with a hand weapon and shield, three classic Chaos Sorcerers, a Chaos Sorcerer with a Lore Familiar, and five metal Chaos Warhounds. Orders open on Saturday and close at 8:00 a.m. GMT on January 26. Made to Order means a long ship window, with dispatch taking up to 180 days.
Made to Order: The Hunter Strikes and The Steel Rook
Two minis once tied to Warhammer events landed in stores on Boxing Day. Next Saturday, The Hunter Strikes and The Steel Rook will be available in the webstore under Made to Order terms until 8 am GMT on January 26, with the same up to 180-day dispatch timeline.
Final Thoughts On: Horus Heresy Pre-Orders
So that’s the pre-order menu for January 17th: Angron shows up fashionably late, Lotara brings the “I run this ship” energy, and the Skitarii roll in with a whole new plastic force that looks ready to turn your hobby desk into a parts explosion. Middle-earth gets its share of trouble, too, with Shelob being a menace and Gollum in miniature form.
Then the Made to Order lineup slides in for anyone chasing classic kits, with the usual shipping reality check.
Pre-orders go live Saturday, with release on January 31st, so the only real question is what’s getting priority! Will you be grabbing that one character you’ve been missing, or pretending your backlog is totally under control? Sound off and tell everyone what’s going in your cart this week.
