Commissar Yarrick Pre-Order: $48 (USA), $57 (Canada), $74 (Australia), £29.50 (UK), €37 (EU)

Commissar Yarrick

Yarrick’s the big one in this wave, and GW’s treating it like a proper lore moment. The old Commissar’s cheated death, made it back to Armageddon, and is heading straight back into the grinder to finish what he started with Ghazghkull.

On the tabletop, rules-wise, he looks built to do exactly what you’d want from Yarrick. He’s got a frontline combat punch, command utility, and his signature Ork-killing power klaw. That should make him a strong anchor for Astra Militarum armies, especially for players who like character-driven lists with a bit of old-school grit.

There’s a lot of nostalgia wrapped up in Yarrick, but this isn’t looking ike a simple throwback. GW is setting him up as a current, active force in the next chapter of the Armageddon war.

Wazdakka Gutsmek Pre-Order: $85 (USA), $100 (Canada), $145 (Australia), £52 (UK), €67 (EU)

Wazdakka Gutsmek

Wazdakka Gutsmek is back, and he looks exactly like the sort of problem Armageddon didn’t need. The greatest Ork Speed Freek alive is tearing around on Big Revva, his ridiculous custom warbike.

Rules-wise, the big draw is that he makes Ork Warbikers Battleline, which is a big deal for anyone building a fast, aggressive Speedwaaagh list. He’s brutally fast and hard-hitting, which fits both the model and the lore.

For Ork players, this is one of the more interesting parts of the whole preview. A named Bikeboss who actively changes list construction has plenty of room to shake up army building.

Commissar Thenia Graves: $102 (USA), $122 (Canada), $172 (Australia), £62 (UK), €80 (EU)

Commissar Graves

Commissar Graves takes Imperial leadership in a very different direction. She’s a hardline disciplinarian rolling into battle on a customized Centaur RSV called Vigilance, backed by an entourage and swinging a power sword and power fist.
Commissar Graves on foot
That alone would be enough to get attention, but GW’s also throwing in a second version of the miniature on foot. That gives hobbyists a nice bit of flexibility, and it means she’ll have visual weight whether you want her in a mechanized list or on a more infantry-focused table.

She has one of the most dramatic setups in the preview, and she’s built for Armageddon’s brutal industrial war zones.

Intranzia Fraye, Dogmata Superior: $73.50 (USA), $88 (Canada), $125 (Australia), £44.50 (UK), €57.50 (EU)

Intranzia Fraye, Dogmata Superior, is one of the more striking reveals here. She leads from the front atop the Throne of Blame, a walking war engine and a dramatic new addition to the Adepta Sororitas range.

Her rules mix mobile fire support with battlefield oversight, which fits the Sororitas theme nicely. She’s smashing forward for spectacle while also enforcing discipline and judgment inside her own force.

Sisters players are getting a model that can carry both the army’s look and its story at the same time.

Inquisitor Kroyle: $60 (USA), $75 (Canada), $98 (Australia), £36 (UK), €45 (EU)

Inquisitor Kroyle box art

Then there’s Inquisitor Kroyle, an Ordo Xenos operative riding a multi-legged Garralisk and carrying a Jindarii tox-cycler built for taking down alien monsters and enemy champions.

This model has a very different energy from the rest of the preview. Kroyle’s rules lean into the strange, unsettling side of the Inquisition, and the concept should become an instant favorite for painters who love unusual textures, creepy details, and character models with narrative weight.

Astra Militarum Armageddon Battalion Pre-Order: $255 (USA), $310 (Canada), $435 (Australia), £160 (UK), €206 (EU)

  • This product is only available while stocks last and is currently sold out on the Warhammer webstore.

Armageddon Battalion Astra Militarum

Buy Yours Here

The Astra Militarum Battalion is probably the biggest box of the bunch from a pure model-release angle. It’s the first chance to grab the new Hippogriff AFV and Centaur RSV kits.

The Hippogriff comes with weapon options for a vigilator cannon, chiron gatling cannon, melta cannon, or heavy lascannon. Throw in a Rogal Dorn battle tank and ten Cadian Shock Troops, and the whole box looks built to slot right into the new Armored Infantry Detachment from the campaign expansion.

Guard players leaning into armor-heavy lists with mobile troop support should take a hard look at this one.

Astra Militarum Hobby Tips

For the new Guard releases, weathering’s going to do a lot of heavy lifting. Armageddon vehicles should look used, dusty, and beaten half to death. Sponge chipping, soot around exhausts, and dry pigments on the tracks will go a long way.

Orks Armageddon Battalion Pre-Order: $170 (USA), $205 (Canada), $285 (Australia), £105 (UK), €135 (EU)

Orks Armageddon Battalion box art

Armageddon Battalion Orks

Buy Yours Here

The Orks Battalion follows Wazdakka’s lead and goes all in on speed. You’re getting six Deffkoptas, a Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy, and a Deffkilla Wartrike.

That’s a focused bundle, and it lines up neatly with the new Speedwaaagh Detachment in the Armageddon expansion. If you already own some Warbikers or were waiting for a reason to build a fast Ork force, this is a pretty obvious entry point.

Orks Hobby Tips

If you’re building around Wazdakka and the Speedwaaagh theme, this is a great excuse to go over the top with checker patterns, exhaust stains, hazard stripes, and uneven armor panels. Fast Orks should look barely held together.

Deathwatch Armageddon Battalion Pre-Order: $170 (USA), $205 (Canada), $285 (Australia), £105 (UK), €135 (EU)

  • This product is only available while stocks last.

Armageddon Battalion Deathwatch

The Deathwatch Battalion plays it simple and thematic. You get ten Deathwatch Veterans and a Corvus Blackstar, with weapon options for adapting the flyer to different battlefield roles.

This box is a clean collection-builder. Nothing’s overloaded, and it sticks to what Deathwatch players usually want: elite infantry, specialized wargear, and a transport that looks like it belongs on a black-ops xenos hunt.

Deathwatch Hobby Tips

For Deathwatch, clean metallics and sharp shoulder pads matter more than flashy tricks. The army works best when the black armor stays crisp, and the silver shoulder pad actually stands out from across the table.

Adepta Sororitas Armageddon Battalion Pre-Order: $170 (USA), $205 (Canada), $285 (Australia), £105 (UK), €135 (EU)

  • This product is only available while stocks last.

Adepta Sororitas Armageddon Battalion

Armageddon Battalion Adepta Sororitas

Buy Yours Here

The Adepta Sororitas Battalion comes with a Palatine, three Paragon Warsuits, ten Novitiates, nine Repentia, and a Repentia Superior.

It’s a solid mix of heavy hitters, lighter units, and classic Sisters flavor. You’ve got durable warsuits, faith-fueled infantry, and the punishing close-range threat Sororitas players usually go in for.

From a hobby standpoint, it’s also a nice variety box. You’re not painting the same silhouette over and over, which always helps on bigger projects.

Adepta Sororitas Hobby Tips

The Sisters box has a lot of visual contrast built in. Keep the cloth, armor, and skin tones clearly separated, and use that to make the Paragon Warsuits and Repentia units feel like they belong to the same force without blending into one red-and-black block.

Armageddon; The Return of Yarrick: $75 (USA), $90 (Canada), $109 (Australia), £48.50 (UK), €60 (EU)

Armageddon The Return of Yarrick

Buy Yours Here

The new campaign book set, Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick, is the big draw of this release wave.

It includes:

  • A lore book covering the next stage of the war for Armageddon
  • Yarrick’s return to the front
  • Wazdakka’s invasion push
  • The Armored Gauntlet rules book for vehicle-heavy battles
  • Six new detachments for Astra Militarum, Orks, and Space Marines

There’s also a collector’s edition with a unique slipcase, special book design, gold foil details, and gilt page edges.

On the gameplay side, the big draw is the vehicle-heavy battle system and the new detachments. On the lore side, this is the next major chapter in one of 40k’s most iconic war zones.
