The Siege Assault Battle Group lines up 23 miniatures built for cracking bunkers, tearing down strongpoints, and brawling through whatever rubble is left standing.

The headline draw is early access to the new Cataphractii Terminators, packed in two units of six. This flavour of Tactical Dreadnought Armour brings extra shield generators, trading speed for the kind of staying power that makes opponents sigh and start counting wounds.

Siege Assault Battle Group 2

One six-model unit comes geared with volkite chargers and power mauls. A Cataphractii Terminator Sergeant can be marked out with power sword, power axe, thunder hammer, multiple crest options, or a grenade harness. One Terminator in the unit can take a reaper autocannon.

The other six-model unit carries combi-bolters and power fists. The Sergeant options match the other set, with extra swaps that let one model take a chainfist and another take a heavy flamer.

Zone Mortalis fans get 10 Breacher Squad Space Marines, built by pairing 10 MkIII Legionaries with a new Boarding Shield upgrade frame. The frame includes:

  • 10 boarding shields
  • 10 helmeted heads
  • 2 Breacher Sergeant heads (1 helmeted, 1 bare)
  • 1 breacher charge
  • 1 lascutter
  • 1 graviton gun
  • 10 bolters
  • 10 left arms
  • 10 right arms
  • 10 left hands (boarding shield attachment)

Rounding out the box is a Leviathan Siege Dreadnought carrying a siege claw and siege drill, which is about as subtle as a wrecking ball in a hallway.

This box is a “while stocks last” deal, and the Breacher Squad and Cataphractii Terminators are slated for individual releases later on. Be sure to check out the full value and pricing in our breakdown article.

It’s not a shock at all. Their Facebook media person has been hinting in replies for weeks that it will go up “you will see an announcement in time for Christmas but expect pre orders will open too late for delivery before the new year”

I think the point of this is that a shock that GW didn’t make a normal sunday teaser post about it and just emailed retailers and expected them to order it a month from release date with one days notice.

Not how stores like to operate, and quite frankly no other manufacturer does things like this.
