Games Workshop’s November 14th pre-orders featured the new Warhammer AoS battleforces and Warhammer 40k Christmas boxes, and a selection of Black Library books.

Allocation Anxiety: The Christmas Battleforce Shuffle

It’s that time of year again, and while the boxes are festive, the allocations sure aren’t.
Stores checked in with us to say they are getting around six sets each for 40k, but the poor Age of Sigmar folks are looking at just three to five per faction. Votann and EC fans lucked out with the biggest stock bump, but for stores, that’s still a drop in the hobby bucket.
Most shops order several dozen of these every year, and when the most popular armies like Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines only get a handful, it puts real pressure on the local game scene. This pattern’s been rolling for years now, and even the GW CEO admitted everything sells out no matter what.
So is it a stock problem (this exact thing happened last year) or just business as usual? Hard to say, but the result’s the same; these Battleforces will vanish faster than a Titan at a discount table.

Battleforce: Iron Halo Strike Force:
The Space Marines keep it classy with the Iron Halo Strike Force.
It’s led by a Captain and Company Heroes, supported by a Lieutenant, Ballistus, and Redemptor Dreadnoughts, Sternguard Veterans, and Hellblasters. You even get the controversial brand-new head sprue, so your Marines can look as uh different as you like.
