The 40k Christmas Box for Necrons, the Disciples of the Nekrosor, is here, and if you’re thinking about buying the battleforce, we break down the models, value, and who it’s for.
Battleforces jumped to $265 this year, and the Necrons might actually get their money’s worth out of it. GW just pulled the wraps off its Christmas Battleforce lineup, and the Disciples of the Nekrosor rolls in with a C’tan, a named character, and enough living metal to cover a big chunk of an 11th Edition list.
Nekrosor Ammentar and his collection of Nightbringer shards made a real mess of Ultramar, and now they’ve got their eyes on the rest of the galaxy (your opponent’s army included). So we’re going to break down what’s actually inside, what it’ll probably cost, when pre-orders may land, and whether the savings hold up once you price out every kit.
- What’s in the Necrons Battleforce: Disciples of the Nekrosor: one C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer, one Nekrosor Ammentar, three Ophydian Destroyers, one Canoptek Doomstalker, ten Necron Warriors, and three Canoptek Scarab Swarms.
- Value is strong: itemized MSRP comes out to $377.50, putting savings at about $112.50 (30%) versus the estimated $265 box price, with the Nightbringer alone covering $135 of that total.
- Tabletop take: 19 miniatures and roughly 890 points, with two big centerpieces up front and 10 Warriors to hold objectives behind them.
- Pricing: Assumed to be the new price increase amount of $265 for Battleforces.
- Release Date: TBD, but these usually go on pre-order or hit store shelves on Black Friday, which could be on or around Nov 27th, 2026.

Necrons Battleforce Disciples of the Nekrosor Release Date & Retail Price:
- Release Date: November 27th, 2026 (unverified so far, but the boxes usually hit shelves or go on pre-order on Black Friday)
- Necrons Disciples of the Nekrosor Battleforce Retail Price (MSRP/RRP): $265 (USD). Regional pricing is listed below. This price is estimated from the recent Battleforce box price increase, and the actual price hasn’t been revealed yet.
So at the expected $265 price, the Disciples of the Nekrosor saves about $112.50 (30%) compared with $377.50 in separate kits and lands right around 890 points of models. Honestly, that’s a lot of Necron plastic for one box, and it should stack up well next to the rest of the 11th Edition Battleforce boxes on the shelf this holiday season.
Necrons Disciples of the Nekrosor Contents:
- 1x C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer
- 1x Nekrosor Ammentar
- 3x Ophydian Destroyers
- 1x Canoptek Doomstalker
- 10x Necron Warriors
- 3x Canoptek Scarab Swarms
Necrons 40k Christmas Box Values & Pricing

Any way you look at it, the Nightbringer carries this thing. At $135 on its own, the star god covers over a third of the box’s total value before you even clip Ammentar off the sprue, and it’s the kind of centerpiece kit a lot of Necron players keep putting off because of that price tag.
But three Ophydian Destroyers and a Canoptek Doomstalker do bring some extra punch, while 10 Necron Warriors stand on objectives and keep getting back up when your opponent tries to clear them off.
Christmas Battleforce: Necrons Disciples of the Nekrosor List Price: $265 (USA), $320 (Canada), $431 (Australia), £165 (UK), €212 (EU)

Is This Necrons Box Worth It?

Here’s the catch: the Nightbringer is $135 of that $377.50 total. Take it out, and the other kits come to $242.50, which is less than the $265 box price. So if you don’t want the C’tan, this box costs you money.
But if you’re starting Necrons or you already wanted the Nightbringer and Ammentar on your shelf, it’s an easy call. Honestly, it’s hard to argue with about $112 off the models most Necron players would want anyway.
How Many Points Is This?
We would guess the Necrons Battleforce points are somewhere around 890, based on the current points.
What to Buy Next?

After that, more Ophydian Destroyers or a couple of Lokhust Heavy Destroyers spread your damage around the table, because two centerpieces can only be in so many places at once.
Finally, add a Doomsday Ark or some other reliable anti-tank firepower, depending on what your army needs, so the Nightbringer isn’t stuck chasing every enemy tank across the board by itself.
Final Thoughts on the Necrons Battleforce Disciples of the Nekrosor
At the end of the day, the Disciples of the Nekrosor looks like a box Necron players should have their wallets ready for come Black Friday, especially anyone who’s been putting off a C’tan because of the $135 price tag. Ammentar’s crew already wrecked Ultramar, and the rest of the galaxy looks like the next stop.
Just keep the big caveat in mind: the value lives or dies with the Nightbringer. Once GW confirms the price and pre-order date, we’ll know whether that $265 guess holds, and if it does, we’d expect this one to disappear off shelves faster than a Warrior squad phasing out.
