Kravek Morne leads the new Iron Warriors models and rules in 40k. See the new units, key updates, and what they mean for Chaos players now.
Games Workshop finally tossed the Iron Warriors a proper bone, and it is not a vague “here’s a shoulder pad, good luck” situation.
We’ve got a brand-new Warsmith, Kravek Morne, stomping onto the scene in chunky Cataphractii Terminator armor with enough nasty techno-tendrils to make your bits box sweat, plus an Iron Warriors upgrade sprue that actually does work.
So let’s break down what the new models, bits, and rules add to Chaos Space Marines right now, plus when they will hit store shelves.
Meet Warsmith Kravek Morne: Cataphractii Brick With A Thunder Hammer Attitude
Updated on March 30, 2026, by Rob Baer with the new reveals and rules. Pricing is accurate as of that date.
- GW finally fed the Iron Warriors: a new Warsmith, Kravek Morne, in chunky Cataphractii Terminator armor (the “Iron Mantle”) with nasty mechatendrils and a thunder hammer called Last Argument. GW also dropped his new rules.
- Hobby potential is real: Cataphractii styling plays nice with 30k/40k bits, with cables, hazard stripes, extra plating, and grime to paint or convert without it looking out of place.
- New Iron Warriors upgrade sprue actually matters: heads, shoulders, and accessories for Legionaries/Terminators/Chosen, plus a thunder hammer + power fist for Aspiring Champions.
- 40k Rules Datasheets for Kravek: built to lead from the front.
New Chaos Kravek Morne Price & Release Date:
- Chaos Kravek Morne Release Date: April 18, 2026
- Retail Price (MSRP/RRP): $47 (USA), $56 (Canada), $78 (Australia), £29 (UK), €37 (EU)

That is already a big deal because not only is it a new mini, it screams kitbash opportunities.
He’s also loaded with weaponised mechatendrils and augmetics tied into the suit, and he carries a personally-crafted thunder hammer called Last Argument. That name alone is pure Iron Warriors energy.

40k’s Kravek Morne Datasheet Rules

He’s not here to play cagey, and that is exactly why he works for Chaos army lists.
- Built to lead from the front: Toughness five, six wounds, a two-plus save, and a four-plus invulnerable save give him the kind of durability you expect from a front-line elite character.
- Leader glue for elite Chaos bricks: he can attach to Chaos Terminators, Mutilators, or Obliterators, which means he can ride with a durable melee unit, a teleporting blender squad, or a heavy elite gun brick that still wants to close the gap.
- Closest target gets hit harder: Headlong Destruction improves the AP of his attacks when he targets the closest eligible enemy unit, which rewards good positioning and straight-ahead aggression.
- Hated foe mechanics matter: Architect of Ruin lets you pick one enemy unit at the start of battle for Kravek to hate personally, giving him re-rolls to Wound against it. When that target dies, he just picks a new victim and keeps going.
- Melee that actually threatens real targets: Last Argument and power fist throws out seven attacks at Strength ten, AP minus two, Damage two, with Devastating Wounds and Hits 2, while the servo-harness piles on extra anti-vehicle attacks with Anti-Vehicle 2+.
- Short-range fire support is no joke either: the Baleflamer gives him reliable Torrent pressure up close, while the combi-bolter adds extra chip shots before he gets stuck in.
The Iron Warriors Upgrade Sprue: The Best Kind Of “Do More With Your Kits” Box

That matters because upgrade sprues live or die on two questions:
- Does it actually change the silhouette of the unit?
- Does it give you useful weapon options that do not feel like junk bits?
This one looks like it hits both.
What this new Iron Warriors upgrade sprue is best suited for

- Legionaries: Heads and shoulder pads do the most work here. Your basic squads immediately look like Iron Warriors instead of generic Chaos Space Marines with a different paint job.
- Terminators: Iron Warriors have always loved that heavy, brutalist look. Terminators wearing utilitarian, corrupted armor fits the lore perfectly.
- Chosen: This is where the accessories matter. Iron Warriors Chosen should look like the guys who carry extra tools because they are the ones who actually know how to break the fortress.
- Aspiring Champions: The included thunder hammer and power fist are a big win for modeling and list flexibility. Champions are where you want standout weapons, and this sprue leans into that.
