How To Play 40k Adeptus Mechanicus: Army Guide, Rules & Review
Their army-wide special rules are pretty unchanged from the index. They are still quite strong, as getting heavy or assault on all your weapons is no joke. Plus, you also get a lot of AP manipulation.

The Adeptus Mechanicus are generally too preoccupied with hunting down archeotech to concern themselves with the pathetic flesh of their allies, and their new Combat Patrol box is packed with marvellous cybernetic horrors ready to cleanse dig-sites of contamination.

Adeptus Mechanicus Codex Detachment Rules:
Now, let’s get into all the new detachments; the five Ad Mech Detachments for 10th Edition 40k are:
Rad-Zone Corps
This is the same detachment from the index but with some decent upgrades this time around and actually deals some more damage. The enhancements took a little hint but could make the bombardment even stronger.
Lethal Dosage stands out here, as getting lethal hits on a big unit for 1 CP is quite strong. Bulwark Imperative is also pretty strong as you can get two Skitarii units a 4+ invulnerable save.
Skitarii Hunter Cohort
This is a really interesting detachment that focuses on infantry and Sicarians! They get stealth and even the benefit of cover. This is just a really cool detachment as you get all the movement rules and can swamp the board with a ton of infantry and walkers.
As you would imagine, these are very focused on keeping your infantry alive and moving all over the place. Then, Binharic Offence can add a little punch to your guns.
Data-psalm Conclave
This is all about the Electro Priests and the combat side of the army. While they don’t have the best melee, it can still be quite strong with these, especially Temporcopia, which lets you fight first.
The Chant of the Remorseless Fist is really good for only 1 CP, as adding 1 to the wound roll will let you get off on some bigger units. Then, getting a 4+ invulnerable save can never be bad.
Explorator Maniple
This detachment doesn’t have a huge unit focus like the other ones, as it’s more about pushing forward and getting enemies off of objectives. So, it could be a good choice if you want to run a list with a bunch of different units.
Cached Acquisition and Priority Reclamation will allow you to keep and take objectives even more easily! This army is all about scoring objectives, so don’t worry as much about killing and winning on points.
Cohort Cybernetica
Do you like robots? If you answered yes, this is the detachment for you! Necromechanic might be the strongest enhancement in the whole book, and this lets Kastelan Robots rampage across the board and still get the Imperatives.
When playing this, you have to do almost all your stratagems in the command phase, so don’t forget. Otherwise, you can’t really take advantage of them.
Adeptus Mechanicus Unit Profiles
Cawl stayed mostly the same but did receive some changes to his buffs.
The Manipulus is still decent but without the enhancement for his gun anymore, he’s now mainly just a buffing character.
The Skratos is decent as having a Lone Operative that can snipe off characters every once in a while is always going to be strong. He could use a small points drop, but other than that, it’s not terrible.
