Hjulda Drakkblud Khazalite Holds hero miniature

The Khazalite Holds Army Set comes with the new Hjulda Drakkblud, fresh Clanshields, Gholems of Gazul, and an Oathkeeper Cannon ready to remind everyone that dwarfs don’t need to be tall to bring some serious firepower.

This box feels like GW knew exactly how to get dwarf players digging into their wallets: a brand-new army of stubborn warriors, walking stone, and heavy artillery ready to turn the battlefield into a very expensive grudge match. That being said, there are probably some choices in here that existing dwarf players wouldn’t like either, and we sort of get that, too.

Is This Army Set Worth It?

Khazalite Holds Clanshields duardin infantryAt $95 in savings, the Khazalite Army Set isn’t just another shiny launch box riding the hype of a new faction; there’s some decent value here too. Since it’s also the first place to grab the new miniatures and battletome, this box is worth a serious look for anyone starting a Khazalite Holds army or looking to get in on the ground floor of Age of Sigmar’s newest dwarfs.

How Many Points Is This?

Gholems of Gazul Khazalite Holds miniaturesWe would guess the Khazalite Holds Army Set points are around 400, but that’s based on other army boxes, we haven’t seen a single point yet (or rules really), so this could drastically change.

What to Buy Next?

High Kyng Valankrom seated on his stone War ThroneFor what to buy next, don’t overthink it yet, because they are getting a whole bunch of new units alongside this launch. This is also coming out at least three to four weeks before you can even buy another Khazalite Holds unit.

Grabbing the box is step one. From there, just grab whatever other units look cool to you when they launch separately. There will be some big characters, more infantry, monsters, and plenty more.

Final Thoughts From Us on the Khazalite Holds Army Set

Oathkeeper Cannon Khazalite Holds war machine

The Khazalite Army Set is the easiest way to get in on Age of Sigmar’s newest dwarf faction right from the start, especially since it packs the first wave of new minis and the battletome into one big box of grudge-settling goodness. For new players, it’s a solid starting point, and for longtime Dwarf fans, it’s probably the launch box they’ve been waiting for.

Just don’t be shocked if this one disappears fast, because Dwarf players have been waiting a long time for a brand-new army, and $95 in savings gives them one more reason to start digging into their wallets.
